My invention relates to improvements in concrete road form's wherein the same is es-' the necessity of employing more than one design of same.
A very important object of my invention is to provide a mold which may be readily reversed, and which when properly set in position, may be: securely fixed to the earth.
Another ob-ect resides in the means whereby a plurality of such novel mold sections may be conveniently jointed end to end.
Other very novel objects and advantages of my novel form will become apparent as the same is better understood from the specification and claims to follow.

Now for a more detail description of my invention, I refer to the drawings, in which like numerals designate like parts. In the operation of forming the concrete road,- I employ a multiplicity of my improved concrete road forming section, however,-it is sufiicient to describe one single section, due

' The section includes an elongated plate l, which is bent to a right angular shape in cross section, as is clearly shown in Fig. 2 of the drawings. portion is bent inwardly to provide a flange 2, while the opposite longitudinal edge portion is U-shaped as at 3, and an elongated web 4 has one longitudinal edge portion bent ter'vals, in" the web, transverse openings top plan view ofthe' plate -transverse openings.
One longitudinal edge obliquely and at 5 to flushly engage the underside of the flange 2, while the opposite longitudinal edge portion of the web is op posedly bent obliquely so that the same will engage flushedly in relation with the under side of the free leg of the U-shaped portion 3. At this surface 11, a recess 12, is formed in substantially right anguiar relation to said surface. The adjacent corner 'of the block- 9 is also formed to provide a flat surface 13 having formedtherein, a recess 14 extending substantially in horizontal relation: to the base of said angle member. The block is provided with a portion 15, which when the angle member 8' is secured in'place' in relation to the plate 1, will engage in the portion 3 of the said plate.
Theout'er portion ofthe block 9 is adapted tolprotrude through the transverse opening 7 in the web 4', when the angle member 8- has-been properly positioned and secured directly underlying one of the respective A bolt 16 is secured through the opening 10 for pivotally mounting the free end of a U-shaped element 17. ,Inwardly from the bight portion, and at opposed portions in the leg members thereof, a pair of elongated openings 18 are formed, which are adapted to'receive the tapering body of a wedge 19. In positioning the U-shaped member 17 in the manner clearly shown in Fig. 2, the pair of elongated openings 18 will be in registry with the recess 14 in the block 9, so that when the wedge 19 is formed through the opening 18, the same will be disposed in meshed relation with said block.
At one end of each form section, a substantially triangular-shaped I connector 20 is adapted for slidable disposition therein. The connector is constructed of a single strip of material, of proper width, while the cross so I . in for more perfect adapting thesame, withsection of the same is substantially triangular. One end portion oft-he strip is slit longitudinally to provide an underlying tongue 25, adapted to engage under the op posed end of the grip.
Each end of the strip is provided with a laterally projecting member, which members are brought together and riveted to providean upstanding lug for the connector, and which is slidable within the slot 6 of the web, whereby the same may be shifted back and forth therein, for either engaging or disengaging the connector with respect to the ends portion of an adjacent section.
As is clearly shown in Fig. 2 of thcdrawingsfithe plate 1 is right angular in cross section, so that the same is provided with a pair of fiat supporting surfaces. Upon either one of these; flat surfaces, the section may be supported, and in respect to which ever oneof the-surfaces the section is supported, the U-shaped member 17 is released by the disengagement of the wedgeltl, so that the opening 18 therein may register with the proper opening, so that a stake 27 may be inserted through the U-shaped member 17,

This securing means is provided whereby the sections may be projected in proper re lation with respect to the concrete material, and upon the latch portion 2, or U shaped portion 3 as the instance may be, a concrete smoothing apparatus is movable.
It will be seen that I have provided a novel concrete mold for forming concrete roadways, and which is reversible in use, thus eliminating the neccssityof providing more than one design of mold section.
While I have illustrated the preferred embodiment of my novel form, I do not wish to limit myself to this particular construction, and slight-changes may be made thereout departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. 7 I
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is 1-- 1. In a concrete road form, an elongated angle plate, and means on said plate whereby the plate may be supported. on either surface thereof in secured relation with the ground.
