bars and journaled in suitable bearings 17 applied thereto are rolls 18, 18 parallel with the wringer-rolls and about which passes the conveyor consisting of an endless belt 19 of any appropriate material, such as 'rubberca or the like. This belt is driven in either direction by the wringer-rolls and for this purpose its upper stretch passes between said rolls, as indicated in Fi ure 2. The conveyor-frame may be positlvely held in either to of its operatiye positions by means of springpressed bolts 20 which are mounted in'the side walls 13 of the wringer-frame and engage corresponding locking openings 21 in the slide bars 15, as shown in Figure 4.

In order to prevent the water wrun from the clothes splashing over the side e ges of the belt and on to the floor, it is provided along its marginal edges with retaining strips 22 which retain the water on the belt and compel it to flow into the wash tub or the tub of the washing machine;

To further uard the hands of the operator from accident y coming in contact with the wringer-rolls, hinged plates 23 are mounted transversely of the wrmger-frame above and 'oneach side of these rolls. These guard 'prlates extend outwardly and downwardly om their hinges 24, as shown in Figure 2, and terminate a suitable distance above the g0 face of the belt 19. B this construction, the uard plates also unction to revent bunc g of the clothes before being ad'- mitted to the wringer-rolls.

By mountin the conveyor on an adjustag able frame in t e manner described, the same can be made very compact and of a minimum length, and it can be quickly shifted to a position over the tub of the washing machine orto a position over the'wash tubs. While 99 possessing these advantages, it does not in any way interfere with the movement of the wringers. of the swivel type now incommon or useon electric machines, and it can be manu factured at a moderate cost.
