Description

Jan. 20, 1931.
H. N. RASCH DI S PLAY CONTIAI NEH Filed May 23, 1929 Inventor A fiorney Patented Jan. 20, 1931 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE HENRY NICKLOU'S RASGH, OF SILVER CREEK, NEBRASKA DISPLAY CONTAINER Application filed May 23, 1929. Serial No. 365,422.
in the container so that the goods may be always visible from the top of the container giving the appearance of a fullcontainer.
A still further very important object of the Y 1 invention resides in theprovision of a display container ofthis nature which is exceedingly simple in its construction, inexpensive to manufacture, strong anddurable, easy to manipulate and adjust, and otherwise well adapted to the purpose for which it is designed.
7 With the above and numerous other objects in View as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and I claimed.
In the drawing:
Figure 1 is a perspective view in vertical section of the display container.
Referring to the drawing in detail it will be seen that the container illustrated herein comprises a bottom 5 with a cylindrical wall 6 rising therefrom and terminating at its upper edge in a bead 7. The numeral 8 denotes a tray including a bottom 9 and a cylindrical wall 10 rising therefrom.
To the upper end of the wall is fixed lower ends of chains 11 which are provided at spaced intervals with hooks 12 for engaging over the bead 7 so that the tray may be held at any desiredheight within the receptacle. I have designed the present specifically de- 4 scribed embodimentof the invention for containing and displaying cookies but of 50. shown for the purpose of exemplification since in actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description, but it will be borne in mind that changes in the details of construction may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages;
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:
A display container of the character decribed comprising a cylindrical container opened at its top and having a bead on its freeedge, a cylindrical tray mounted forv vertical sliding adjustment in the container and including a circular, fiat bottom wall and an upstanding annular side wall having diametrically opposite openingsv formed therein adjacent its free edge, flexible chains loosely connected to the tray at one end through the opening, and a series of supporting hoo is loosely mounted at spaced intervals on each of the chains and adapted for detachable engagement over the upper edge of the container in a manner to support the tray herein in vertically adjusted position. 7
. HENRY NICKLOUS RASGH.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature.
