My invention relates to improvements in key cases.

One of the objects of my invention is to provide a key case with novel means for separately detachably attaching keys thereto by which the keys will be securely held and easily attached or detached, when desired, which is simple, durable, cheap, not likely to get out of order, and which will exert minimum wear on the pocket containing the case.

The novel features of my invention are hereinafter fully described and claimed.

In the accompanying drawing, which illustrates my invention, Fig. 1 is a front elevation of my improved key attaching means shown mounted on a supportingvmember comprising the inner side of a bill fold, parts of which are broken away.

Fig. 2 is a top perspective'of the bill fold provided with my improvement.

Fig. 3 is a'view similar to Fig. 1, showing one key attached to one of the tabs and another key partly attached to another one of the tabs.

Fig. 4 is a front view of a modification of the key attaching tabs shown mounted on a bill fold, which is partly broken away, one

of the tabs having a key attached thereto.

Similar reference characters designate similar parts in the different views.

1 designates a supporting member comprising the inner leather wall of a bill fold 2. Attached to the middle and upper portion of the member 1 is a flexible flap 3, preferably stout leather or suitable fabric, as canvas, said flap having a plurality of depending flexible tabs 4, which in the form shown in Figs. 1 to 3, are provided each with a longitudinal slot or slit 5 which is of a length sufficientto have a key passed therethrough.

The keys are designated by 6 and the holes therein by 7.

Each tab 4 is adapted to be passed through a hole in a key which it is to support and then to be doubled on itself so as to hold the key, as shown at the right in Fig. 3.

In the modified form, shown in Fig. 4, the flap 8 is attached to the wall 1, which forms the supporting member therefor, in the same manner as the flap 3 is attached to said member, as by being sewed thereto in the middle upper portion thereof.

The flap 8 is provided with a plurality of tabs 9, which, like the flap 8, are flexible, and preferably leather.

The tabs 9 are each at its free end pro-' vided with a head 10 which is adapted to be passed through the hole 7 of a key 6, the tab being then doubled upon itself and the head 10 inserted through a slit or slot 11 with which each tab, near its longitudinal middle, is provided. The key, thus attached will be securely held and easily released, when desired, by doubling and withdrawing the head 10 from the slot 11. c."-

In my invention there are no metal parts, excepting the keys suspended thereby, so that the wear exerted by the case on the pocket containing it will be at a minimum.

I do not limit my invention to the structures shown and described, as many modifications, within the scope of the appended claims, may be made without departing from the spirit of my invention.

What I claim is 1. A key case provided with a supporting member, and one or more flexible tabs fastened at one end to and depending from said member and adapted to be inserted through a hole in a key, and having a longitudinal slot adapted to receive therethrough said key and then to be doubled on itself to hold the key. 7
