In show cases as now'commercially produced and particularly with that type of show case employed for displaying candy quently varies as does also the thickness thereof. Where partitions of any appreciable height are employed and particularly where any considerable amount of lateral pressure is exerted thereon, it becomes necessary to adequately grip and support the partitions to hold the same firmly in position and prevent the same from breaking.

In accordance with the present invention I provide an adjustable partition support provided with a slotted or jaw-like portion designed to embrace and grip the partition to thus fully and adequately support the same.

It is an important object of this invention to provide an adjustable partition support of this character and one which may be quickly and economically manufactured; which is rigid in construction and may be quickly and easily installed and adjusted.

The several objects of this invention, together with the novel details of construction thereof will be made more apparent as this description proceeds, especially when considered in connection with the accompanying'drawings, wherein Figure l is a fragmentary perspective view of a show case having a partition supported therein by means of my improved partition support;

I clalm as my invention:

1. In a show case,'a partition anda sup-- port therefor comprising a pair of members each having an upstandingpo'rtion'terminating at its lower end ina shoulder and a lateral extension, the lateral extension of one member underlying the shoulder of the member also having anupstanding portion, the upstanding portions of said members together forming a partition receiving slot, the lateral extension of each member underlying the horizontal shoulder of the other member and means for securing one of said members to the 'fioorof the show case and means for adjustably securing said members together.
