32 of each beater or mixer structurethus assuring thorough agitation of the contents of the vessel or vessels, as the case may be.
From the foregoing description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, it will be manifest that'a heater ormixer is provided that will fulfill all the necessary requirements of such a device, but as many changes couldbe made in the above description and many apparently widely different embodiments of nay-invention may be constructed within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit or scope thereof, it is intended that all matters contained in the said accompanying specifi cation and drawings shall be interpreted as illustrative and-not in a limited sense. 7
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 1. .A device of the class described including a transverse shaft having a central crank portion; gear wheels mounted on the opposite ends of said shaft; double beater members arranged outwardly of said gear wheels and driven thereby; reciprocating driving means extending upwardly from said shaft and connected with the central crank portion thereof; enclosing and supporting means for said shaft, the gears carriedthereby, the double beater members and the central driving means for said shaft; a resilient central support for said last mentioned means; and means totresiliently retain in normal unoperated position the central driving means for the said shaft. 7
2. A device of the class described including a horizontal crank shaft having a central crank portion; large gears mounted on the opposite ends of said crankshaft; a casing for said crank shaft and said largegears with an upstanding central.,portion; a reciprocating operating member in the upstanding portion of said casing; a link connection between said reciprocating operating member and the central crank portion of said crank shaft to drive. the latter; means to re siliently retain said reciprocating, driving member in its uppermost position; a resilient support depending from the centre of said casing; a double beater member supported in the outer ends of said casing outwardly small gears for said double beater members meshing with said large "ears; and removable means for closing the outer ends of said casing.
In testimony whereof I hereunto afiix my JOHN WESLEY BELL. [1,. 8.
