This invention relates to a combinedreof the Vrefrigerator casing. The'bottomwall frigerator and dispensingapparatus pri-v 13. of the refrigerator, spaced" for an appre-v marily designed for the accommodation of ciable distance above the base plate 11, carries butteror ice-cream which maybe dispensed a form of container, 4such as indicatedat 14,

"The container, in the the provision and arrangement of a cutting present application' of the invention* in the element disposed at the discharge or discontaining and dispensing of'butter, is large io pensing end of the refrigerator. enough to convenientlyy accommodate .the "cuss 60 An additional object of the invention em tomary quarter pound lengthsy of butter in' bodies an operating lever for the cutting p'ackageform and are to be disposed infendto element, f v endrelation inthe mannerV suggested in Fig- More specifically stated the operating lever ure V1 of the drawings. VlThat portion within 115 and cutting element are adjustably Vmountedtherefrigeratorsurroundingthe container 111 65 with respect to each other and the discharge isftoibe packed with, ycracked ice ormay con-` end of the refrigerator to facilitate the cutveniently accommodate the coil of modting and dispensing of the preserved contents ern vtype of iceless refrigerator; y The top of ofthe refrigerator in uniform size.V each the refrigerator proper and container -20 lVith the above and other objects in view, 111 are closed by lids 15 and 16 'respectively'., 70
the invention further consists of the following The operating lever, mentione'd lin the fore- 'novel features and details of construction, to going, and-asindicatedfa't 17, is projected be hereinafter more fully described, illus-` within the horizontally disposed slot'18 in the l trated in the accompanying drawingsv and refrigeratorcasing.below the? bottom 13.f"A'

In the drawings pivotmounting forjthe innermostprojecting Figure 1 is an elevation of the present 1nend of the operatingflever.` i vention partly-broken away adjacent the base A band 20 of arcuate formation havingthereof; a knob 21 at an intermediate point inthe e0 Figure 2 is a fragmentary longitudinal seclength thereof andfv'ertically disposed slots 80 .tional view through the invention; 22 adjacent its Vends accommodate the shanflrs Figure 3 is a horizontal sectional view tak- 23 of bolt members carrying wing nutsj24. en on line 3 3 of Figure 2; v The upper edge of the band 20Y is designed. Figure 4 is a horizontal-sectional view `forf-:engagementr with the under surface or 35 taken on line 4 4 of Figure2; and side of the operating lever 17 and which in' 85 Figure 5iis a vertical sectional view taken conjunction with a nut 25V carrie'dfupon the on line 5 5 of Figure 2. shank 19 will regulate the clearance between Referring to the drawings in detail wherein thek bottom wall `13 andthe operatingV lever like characters of reference denote Correand preserve uniformity aslt'oparallel relav i l Q0.- indicates generally the casing of my'form of A cutting, element 26 reposing-against the refrigerator and which may be constructed under side of the bottom wall 13 and eX- of metal, porcelain and the Vlike and is suptended 'immediately beneath the discharge ported at its lowermost end upon a base plate, Vend of the container 14 is adjustably con:
1,45, indicated as at 11. nectedat its ends through the instrumental- 95 y As shown in Figures 3 and 4 of the drawity of bolt members 27 with appropriateporings, the refrigerator is of circular form and tions of the operating lever 17. The clearit is therefore necessary to provide an annu. ance or distance between .the operating lever lar groove 12 at the upper side of the base 17 and the cutting element 26 regulates theV =5.0 plate 11 to accommodate the lower periphery thickness of the cut and when osclllatekll 100 fact that the remaining` portion of the butter v is held stationary, the cutting element 26 when being brought into contact therewith will sever the projecting end of the length of butter and automatically discharge same through an opening 29 provided in the enlargement 28 upon the next succeeding stroke of the operating lever. The remaining length of butterris held against further dropping upon the upper side of the cutting element 26 until the operating lever is shifted to itsy utmost in the cutting direction at which time the aforementioned length of butter will drop downwardly, equivalent to the predetermined slicing thickness and repose upon the other side of the enlargement 28.
Although I have shown and described my invention as being designed for the containing, preservation and dispensing of butter, it is obviously apparent that ice-cream and other articles of food may be likewise accommodated and dispensed in similar manner with equal efect. n
As shown in Figures 2, 3 and 5 of the drawings, the casing 10 is provided with an entrance opening 30 beneath the bottom wall 13 of the refrigerator-proper through which plates or butter dishes may be projected to accommodate pats or squares of butter as dispensed.
The invention is susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction,v and the right is herein reserved to make such changes as properly fall within the scope of the appended claims.V
Havingdescribed the invention, what is claimed is 1. A refrigerated food dispensing apparatus having a discharge compartment therebeneath, an operating lever pivotally mounted within the compartment having sliding food supports selectively registerable therewith, a cutting element carried by and operable in conjunction with the lever between the supports, and adjusting means for the lever and cutting element.
2. A refrigerated food dispensing apparatus in communication with a food container and discharge compartment therebeneath, an operating lever pivotally mountedV ture.
