This invention relates to syringes and particularly to that type adapted to be inserted into a cavity of the body for the purpose of conveying thereto a liquid orvapor to bene- 6 fit it.
In the use of a syringe of this type, it is desirable to spray the entire inner walls of the cavity and simultaneously withdraw from said cavity the used liquor or vapor, in order 10 to effectually cleanse the cavity. Also, it is desirable to massage the walls of said cavity during the cleansing operation. It is for the purpose of producing these desirable results that the present invention has been constructed. Q
An object of this invention is to provide a syringe having a conical shaped barrel with a series of outlet perforations extending substantially over its entire surface and provided with a plurality of drain openings adapted to carry off used liquid or vapors.
A further object of this invention is the provision of a syringe having a flexible stop shield adapted for longitudinal adjustment on said conical barrel to limit its insertion into the cavity.
With these general objects in view, as well as minor objects, which will appear during the course of the detailed specification, the
invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, wherein Figure 1, is a side elevation of a syringe, embodying this invention.

Fig. 3, is a cross-section taken on line III-III of Fig. 1, and
Fig. 4, is a detached perspective view of the flexible stop shield.
Similar reference characters refer to like parts throughout the several views, and the numeral 5 indicates a conical shaped barrel having its outer end rounded off, thus forming substantially the frustum of a cone. Carried by said barrel is a hollow handle 6 which serves as a hand hold for manipulating the syringe. Intermediate and connecting said barrel and handle is an annular enlargement 7. Referring now to Fig. 2, it will be noted that'barrel 5 is provided with an inner casing 8 which is spaced apart from the outer casing of barrel 5 to form a chamber 9. Said chamber terminating in an enlarged portion formed by the'annular enlargement 7. The outer end of the inner casing 8' is spaced apartfrom the rounded outer end of barrel 5 to form an end cavity 10. The enlargement 7 is provided 'witha projection 11 having an opening 12 therethrough, which communicates with the chamber 9. The outer end of barrel 5 is provided with an enlarged perforation 13, by means of which a large stream of fluid may be projected in a stream substantially parallel with said barrel. Communicating withthe inner chamber 14 of the barrel 5, is a plurality of elongated openings 15, which permit the flow of fluid from the outside into said barrel. Referring to Fig. 3, it will be noted that the side walls of openings 15 serve to connect barrel 5 with the inner casing 8 to maintain the incoming fluid within its proper confines. The hollow handle 6 is provided at its lower portion with an outlet projection 17, to which may be attached a drain tube, not shown.
Slidably mounted on conical shaped barrel 5 is a resilient stop shield 16, which is adapted to frictionally engage said barrel at any desired position. The stop member may be madeof any desired shape to conform to the body adjacent the cavity. Stop 16 serves to limit the insertion of said barrel and is preferably made of rubber.

Vhat is claimed as new and desired to be secured by Letters Patent is:
1. A syringe comprising a barrel having a blunt outer end and spaced apart inner and outer walls, the inner wall having a closed outer end, a chamber between said walls having an annular enlargement at its inner end, an intake communicating with said chamber adjacent its inner end, spaced apart perforations in substantially the entire outer wall of said barrel commnnieatingwith said chamber, a hole in said outer wall positioned in substantially axial alineinent with said barrel and communicating with said chamber, a hollow handle integral with and communicating with said barrel, openings extending through the side walls 0t said barrel to communicate with the interior thereof, and an outlet in the lower portion of said handle.
2. A syringe comprising a barrel having a blunt outer end and aced apart inner and outer walls, the inner wall having a closed outer end, a chamber between said walls having an annular enlaigc ient at its inner end, an intake comn'iunica 'ng with said chamber adjacent its inner end, spaced apart perforations in substantially the entire outer wall of said barrel coinnninicating with the said chamber, a holein said outer wall positioned in substantially axial alineinent with said barrel and communicating with said chamber, a hollow handle integral with and connnunicating with said barrel, openings extending, through the side walls of said barrel, to communicate with the interior thereof, an outlet in the lower portion of said handle and a resilient annular stop shield adjustably carried by said barrel.
