Thecircuit controlled by this device will be used to o erate radio an aratus or an other suitable device and the length of time which it would be allowed to operate would be controlled by the gearing shown. This time can be lengthened v or shortened by changing the gears to secure this result.
This time can also be lengthened or hort-' .ened by adjusting the magnetic flux passing through the armature 16 causing it to rotate at a different rate of speed. In either these ways a wide range of time during which the operation of the device is permitted may be secured.
We claim:
1. A coin vcontrolled switching mechanism '7 comprising a motor having an armature, a shaft on which said armature is mounted to rotate, a'worm on said shaft, a-worm gear driven thereby, a wheel driven from said worm and gear train, ains carried on said wheel, a spring making contact with one or the other of said pins, to close and open auxiliary contacts, a shaft for said wheel, normally open auxiliary contacts in series with said pin and spring, a coin operated switch for closing said circuit and causing said armature to rotate, an electromagnet in said circuit adapted to hold the switch in position to keep the circuit closed, said circuit being broken by the rotation of the wheel carrying one or the other of said pins out of contact with said, sprin 2.
