The present application is a companion to and divided from the application, Serial N o. 160,398, tiled January 11,1927, for improvements in carry bundle straps', to Which cross reference is here made.

ln the present invention, the strap 9 1s cony structed of any suitable material such as a Apaper strip having one side thereof coated with an adhesive that'may be moistened to adhere to an article to be carried. Preferably the straps are cut in lengths classied and arranged to suit the needs of bundles of various sizes., At one end of each strap 9 is attached, a handle preferably constructed of a material tougher or stronger than the strap 9. The handle, as seen'best in Fig. 4 of the drawings,is an elongated strip having orifices 10 and l11 formed therein. Scored lines 12, 13 and 14 are provided to regulate the positions of the bends of the handle When forming the same to the shape shown as in Figure 1 of the drawings. The strap is usually purveyed With the handle outstretched as seen in Figure 4, With one end of` the strap 9 attached rigidly and permanently thereto, as also shown in the said Figure 4.

is best seen in Figures l and 3 of the drawings. The folding member thus provided prevents the raw edge of the material forming the apertures 10 and 11 from cutting or otherwise abraiding the hand of the person carrying the bundle.

`Claims.:

1. A strap as characterized comprising an elongated paper strip adapted to extend completely around the bundle to be carried, said strip being coated With adhesive, and a handle member constructed from paper em-` Apermanently attached to one end of said strip and having an aperture Aformed therein as Wide as'the strip adapted to pass the free end ofsaid strip.

2. A strap as characterized comprising an elongated strip coated `,With vadhesive throughout its length, said strip being adapted to extend completely around a nently attached to said strip at one end thereof, said handle member having an upstanding portion perforated to the bottom thereof to permit thepassage therethrough of fingers of the human hand and of the free end of the saidstrip flatwise on the bundle.

A strap as characterized comprising an elongated strip of paper coated With adhesive on one side throughout its length, said strip being adapted to extend completely bodying a folded section, said member being y bundle to be carried, a handle member permaaround a bundle to be carried and overlap at the handle, a handle member permanently attached to one end of said strip, said handle being formed from paper having perforations therein adapted to register with one another when said handle is folded at the middle thereof to provide an upstanding section of two thicknesses of the paper forming the said handle.

A strap as characterized comprising an elongated strip of paper coated with adhesive on one side throughout its length, said strip being adapted -to extend completely around a bundle to be carried, a handle member permanently attached to one end of said strip, said handle being formed from paper having perforations therein adapted to register With one another when said handle is folded at the middle thereof to provide an vupstanding section of tWo thicknesses of the paper forming the said handle, said handle member being foldableto provide apron portions for receiving the adhesive ends of said strip. f
