OFFECE nnnoin ivonY AND THOMAS wan Lann orinnrni, were V I URINAL V i r Application filed September 25,1929. SerialNo. 395,083i i This invention relates broadly to medical to the'front wall 7 and at its rear end is appliances, and has more particular referclosed, the rearwall-8 at its apex being ence to devices especially adapted for use extended as at 11 for closing said neck at by bed ridden patients. said'end. Throughout the major part of its .The primary objectof the invention is to longitudinal length,.the neck communiprovide a urinal especially adapted for use 'cates with the'interior of the container, how by a bed ridden patient, the device being ever, the front wall7 gradually thickens substantially triangular in cross-section, the longitudinally towards its apex as at 12 1 sides and end walls of the container at their forming a bottom 1-3'for the neck 10 of the upper ends merging into an elongated tubuforward end of the neck. The side walls 9 of the side, the large bottom will. suflice for the container curve inwardly and upwardly usual quantity of contents without spilling. from the longitudinal edges of the bottom Again, as a further advantage of a device wall 6 toward the apices of the front and constructed as herein illustrated and de- 40 the rear walls, respectively, said side walls scribed, there is but a single chamber for 85 9 at their upper edges merging into an receiving thecontents by reason of which elongated tubular neck 10, which neck 10 the container may be thoroughly flushed or inclines rearwardly from the top to the cleansed. r bottom of the container. The neck 10 ex-' From'the foregoing, it is apparent that tends longitudinally from the rear wall 8, a urinal embodying such features as herein 90 to provide a device of this nature, which is 16 is threaded in the opening for closing pointed out will greatly enhance the possibility and utility of a device of this nature.
Even though we have herein shown and described the preferred embodiment of our invention, it is to be understood that the same is susceptible to changes fully comprehended by the spirit of the invention as herein described, and the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described our invention, what we wish to claim as new is p 1. In a device of the class described, a portable container "having a relatively "broad bottom and a narrow top, the walls of said container at the top merging into a tubular neck extending longitudinally of the-container, said neck being closed at one end and opened at its opposite end, and the side walls of said container curving inwardly and upwardly from the bottom to the top.
2. In a device of the character described, a container having a relatively broad bottom and a narrow top, the side walls of said container curving inwardly and upwardly from the bottom to the top, said side walls at their top merging :into a longitudinally merging into an elongated tubular neck inclining rearwardly from one end wall to the other, said neck being open at one end and closed at its opposite end, the bottom wall of said container being provided with a drain outlet, and a plug normally closing said outlet opening.
In testimony whereof we alfix our signatures.

extending elongated tubular neck, said neck j being closed at one and open at its opposite end, and the front wall of the container at the top thereof being relatively thickened andproviding a bottom wall for the opened end of said neck, said front wall having an inwardly and downwardly inclined 'surlace, and the rear wall of the container being extended to provide an end wall for the closed end of said neck.
8. In a device of the class described, a container having :a relatively broad bottom and a narrow top, the side walls of sai'drco'ntainer curving inwardly and upwardlyfrom the bottom to the top, said side walls at their top merging into a longitudinally extending elongated tubular neck, said neck being closed at one end and "open at its opposite end, and the front wall of the container at the top thereof being relatively, thickened and providing a bottom wall for the opened end of said neck, said front wall havi-n an inwardly and downwardly inclined surlace,
and the rear wall of the container being extended to provide an end wall for the closed end of said neck, and the bottom wall of said container being provided with a drain outlet opening and a ping threaded in said opening.
l. In a device of the class described, a portable container. comprising a relati-velgv broad bottom wall, substantially triangular end walls rising from said bottom wall, said end walls being substantially triangular and having their opposite side edges curving inwardly. and upwardly, side walls curving inwardly' and upwardly from said bottom walls, to the apex of said end walls, said side and end walls at the top thereof
