The invention relates to improvements in milliners shears of the general type shown in my U. S. Patents Nos. 617,018; 1,432,246
I and 1,511,964. It is the principal object of the present invention to provide an improved construction which embodies unique means for tightening a bent w1re connection of a hat frame, for instance, at the point where a substantially radial vbrim wire is joined to a peripheral brim wire by bending the former around the latter. When hat frames are received for covering. by milliners, suchbent wireconnections are very often loose but the present invention provides efi ective means whereby they may be tightened.
Another object of the invention is to pro vide a novel construction whereby a lug is provided on one blade ofthe shears behind I bladesbehind said pivot to hold'their cutting the blade pivot, said lug having the two-fold function of spreading the portions of the edges in effective cutting engagement with eachiother, andadding area to one ofthe co-operable jaws which are employed for elevation.
