The present invention relates to trolling spoons and has for its principal object to provide an article of this character constructed of a pair of hingedly connected sec- .5 tions, arranged one in advance of the other so as to enable the rearmost hinged section to swing from side to side during the movement ofthe spoon through the water, substantially inimitation of the movement of the tail of a fish. v

The edges of the opposedsections, adjacent each of said openings, are formed with projections 16 and 17 respectively, each of said projections being bent in the shape of eyes 18, as clearly illustrated in Figures 5 and 7 of the drawings to provide a hinged connection with the openings of the respective sections. 7 V o By reason of such hinged connection, it will be apparent that the rear section 6 is adapted to freely :swing laterally with respect to the forward section 5, during the movement of the spoon through the water. A pair of lugs 19 are secured at the inclined edge 13 of the forward section 5 and form stops for engagement with the edges of the rear section G'Whereby to limit the swinging movement of said rear section, in either direction, beyond a position at right angles to the forward section.
The manner in which these stop members i r 19 operate to restrict the swinging movement of the rear section, is clearly illustrated in Figure 6 of the drawings.
It will be readily appreciated from the foregoing that upon the movement of the spoon through the water that the idle swingingmovement of the rear section 6 Will cause the spoon to travel in an irregular eonrse closely simulating the movementof a fish.
' 10 The freedom of the swinging movement of the rear ection 6 may e controlled by the adjustment of the ring 11 in the various openings 10 provided for that purpose.
