With these and other objects in view, the

Referring now to the construction of the .invention as disclosed bythe accompanying drawings, 1 indicates a circular'track consist-ing of a plurality of sections having their ends cut away toprovide overlapping portions 2 detachably connected by any suitablemeans suchas screws or bolts 3.

`Extending upwardly from ythe base'member is a stud 7 and positioned in a recess in the upper face of the hub or base member cirlumferentially of the stud is a bearing mem- Rotat'ably mounted on the stud 7 and resting on the bearing member 8 is a hub member 9 from which extends radial arms 10.
The inner end of these arms, like the bars 5 are detachably connected to the hubby bolts or other means 11. A cap screw 12 is threaded into the upper end of the stud 7 for a purpose which will Vpresently appear.
Positioned above and in vertical alignment with the track l is a circular frame 13 consisting of a plurality ofy sections joined Arranged within the roundabout is a circular pan 2O 'comprising a plurality of sec tions corresponding in number to those of the frame 13. ,Each section embodies a bottom portion 21 adapted to rest'on the radial arms 10, and an upright portion 22'provided uppermost with an inwardly extending flange 23 resting against the underside of the circular frame 13. This flange is formed with bayonet slots 24 for the reception of bolts 25 depending from thel frame V13, the
heads of the bolts serving to hold the flange 23 up against the circular frame. While the bolts 25 serve to hold the upright portions of the pan7 the bottom portions are held in place on the radial arms 10 by screws 26 and the inner meeting endsof the latter are held down by means of the cap screw 12. Each ris section ot the pan is also formed intermediate of the sides of the upright portion 22 with a vertical slot 27 to receive the inner pedal crank 16 ot' each traction wheel.
From the foregoing, it will be apparent that I have provided a novel construction of roundabout which can be readily disassembled and quickly reassembled, and one in the useof which the liability ot' becoming injured by the rider falling in between the radial arms and bars while the upper part is going around, is avoided by the aforementioned pan.
While I have described the preferred embodiment otI my invention, I desire to have it understood that such changes in construe-- tion and method ot operation may be resorted'to as are within the scope of the appended claims.
I claim:
l. A roundabout comprising a circular track, afcircular trame arranged for rotationabove and in vertical alignment with said track, traction wheels fiXedto saidcircular trame adapted to support said circular frame and travel on said circular track,
pedal cranks lined to said wheels, and a circular pan of a diameter coincident with that of the circular frame iXed to and supported below said circular frame for rotation therewith as a unit.- l

A knockdown roundabout comprising a circular track embodyingca plurality of sec-V tions detachably connected, a circular frame of the, same diameter as said track, said frame being arranged above the track and embodying a plurality of sections detachably connected, a seat on eachframe section, a handgrip on each :trame section in advance of the seat, a traction. wheel carried by each frame section and adaptedto travel `onsaid track, pedal cranks carried'by each traction Wheel, a circular pan arranged centrally of said circular frame and detachably supported. from the underside of said circular frame, said pan embodying a plurality of sections corresponding in number to those in the fra-me, and means for detachably connecting each of said sections to theadjacent section of the frame.

In a device of the character described, the combination with a circular track, a circular frame, traction Wheels carried by said circular frame, pedal cranks carried by each traction Wheel, radial supporting arms pivotally. mounted centrally of said track, of a circular pan mounted on said radial arms and comprising a plurality of sections7 each embodying an upstanding Wall at its outer edge formed intermediate its ends with a slot to receive the adjacent, pedal crank, and means for detachably connecting each section of the pan to said radial arms and 10 circular frame for rotation therewith.
