The invention is exemplified in a supporting structure which is made of sheet metal and comprises a rectangular mirror frame 8 which is made up, of top, bottom and side bars. Each bar comprises a front member 9 with an inturned bevelled flange 1.0 at its inner margin, a side flange 11 and an inturned back flange 12. The corners of these bars are mitred and sheet metal angular brackets 13 are spot-welded tothe bars, so the latter will form a rigid all sheet-metal frame. The opening in the front of the frame is for a mirror 15, which has its margins held in a rectangular inner sheet-metal frame which is formed of angular strips, each of which has a side-flange 16 and a front flange 17 which fits against one of the front members 9 of the front frame and is spot-welded thereto. The mirror and a suitable backing 18 of board or the like are held in place by tongues 19 which are out from the side flanges 16 and adapted to be bent and turned inwardly. Tongues 20, integrally formed with the side-flanges 16, are extended outwardly at the back of the front frame and are spot-welded to the inner faces of flanges 12. Tongues 20 are provided with suitable slots 21 to receive hooks by which the entire structure can be suspended from a wall.

24;. By providing a supporting plate under the glass in lieu of brackets, the shelf will be held together even though it should be come cracked or broken. Holes 27 formed in the strip 23 to permit the fingers to be inserted to lift the glass out of the pocket.

The invention exemplifies a combined mirror, shelf and towel-rack in which a glassshelf is i'emovably supported in a pocket to attain the advantages aforesaid. Being made of metal, the structure is adapted for manufacture in large quantities at a comparatively low cost.

The invention is not to be understood as restricted to the details set forth, since these may be modified within the scope of the appended ciaims, Without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.

Having thus described the invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

1. In a device of the character described, the combination of a mirror, an outer frame composed of sheet metal bars, each bar having a side and a front flange, an inner frame composed of sheet metal strips, each strip comprising a front and side flange, the front flanges of said inner frame being secured to the front flanges of the outer frame, re-

inforcing tongues between the rear margins of the side flanges of the bars and the rear -margms of the side flanges of the strips, and

means connected to said last mentioned side flanges for holding the mirror.

2. In a device of the character described, the combination of a mirror, an outer frame composed of sheet metal bars, each bar havmg a: front, a side, and a back flange, an inner frame composed of sheet metal strips,

each strip comprising a front and a side flange, the front flanges of said inner frame being secured to the front flanges of the outer frame, and the side flanges of the inner frame being provided with outwardly extending reinforcing tongues secured to the back flanges, and means connected to the side flanges of said strips for holding the mirror.

3. In a device of the character described, ihe combination of an outer frame composed of sheet metal bars, each having a front, a side, and a back flange, :1, sheet metal inner frame secured to the outer frame, and a mirror held in said inner frame, the latter being provided with integrally formed outwardly extending tongues secured to the back flanges of the outer frame, said tongues being provided With slots to receive suspension hooks.
