Tiring of thefingers is avoided since they are not required to grasp the device, and the position of the device in the hand, close to the wrist. is such that heavy pressure may be applied to the work without great strain upon any part of the hand. A hand roller comprising a roller-mounting having' a substantially fiat face adapted to fit the palm of the hand, and an abutment face curved out of the plane of said flat face and adapted to be'engaged by the portion of the hand nearer the wrist, means for securing said mount-ing to the hand, and a presser roll journaled on said mounting near the center thereof.
