GOLF TEE.

Application led ctober 5, 1928. Serial No. 139,694.

-This invention relates to golf tees and it is an objectof the invention to provide a device of this kind to etlect the desired supporting -of a golf ball in a driving position and 5 wherein means is afforded for teeing the ball high or low as may be desired. The invention consists in the details of construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts of my improvided golf tee whereby certain important advantages are attained and the devlce rendered simpler, less expensive and otherwise more convenient and advantageous for use, as will be hereinafter more fully set forth. The novel `features of my invention will hereinafter be definitely claimed.

In order that my invention may belthe better understood, I will now proceed to de-i scribe the same with reference to the accom.

As herein disclosed, my improved tee comprises an elongated peg 1 of desired dimensions having one end portion pointed to facilitate its insertion in`the ground. The

opposite end portion of the peg 1 is provided with a substantially concavo convex disc 2 of requisite dimensions affording a. seat upon which the ball is adapted to be placed.

Threaded upon the peg 1, or shank as it may be called, is a disc-3 of desired diameter and which is adapted, upon requisite turning movement relative to the peg or shank 1, to be adjusted lengthwise of the peg or shank ,to limit the extent of penetration of the peg 40 or shank'and thus teeingthe ball high or low as may be preferred by the player.

From the foregoing description vit is thought to be obvious that a golf tee con-l structed in accordance with my invention is particularly well adapted for use by reason ofthe convenience and facility with which it may be assembled' and operated, and it Will also be obvious that my invention is susceptible of same change and modification without departing from the principles and spirit thereof and for this reason I do not wishvto be understood as limiting myself to the preoise arrangement and formation of the several parts herein shown in. carrying out my' 55' .invention 1n practice except as hereinafter claimed.
