BOTTLE HOLDER.
Application filed April 11,1925. Serial No. 22,422.
This invention relates to improvements in bottle holders and consists substantially of the constructions and arrangements here-* Figure 3 is an elevation of a blank from which the bottle holder is constructed.
Figure 4 is a perspective View of a bottle holder of modified construction.
As already briefly stated, in the objects of the invention the implement is designed for the purpose of holding a bottle 1 which contains a suitable poison intended to be sprayed upon growing vegetables, cotton,.
etc. To carry out the purpose, the bottle'is equipped with a cap 2 which is perforated at 3.
The bottle holder is composed of a circumferential band 4 which is bent at 5 at the ends to receive thebo-lt 6 having a nut 7 arranged to produce a clamping action. The band has a pair of arms 8 which carry a handle 9. This handlemay consist of a pair of rectangular plates and 11 (Fig.
3) which in manufacture are curled over (Fig. 2) to assume a telescopic relationship. The plate 10 will be curled first, whereupon the plate 11 is curled in place thereupon, the two combiningto produce a reinforced handle 9 which is simply made and adequately serves the intended purpose. 7
It is to be observed in Figure 3 that the handle plates 10 and 11 aremade integralwith the arms 8. These in turn are made integral with the circumferential band Production of the bends 5 is merely a matter' of bending the ends of the band i at right angles and providing apertures through which the bolt 6 may pass. By stamping the'impl'ement out of one piece of metal the cost or manufacture can be both simlphfied andbheapened. The various parts are assembled as described above and when the nuts 7 screw down upon the threaded ends of the bolts 6 the resulting clamping action or" the band 4 holdsthe bottle 1 quite firmly so that the sprinkling action can be carried out.-
The modification in Figure t'is the same in principle as'the form in Figure 1. Herethe circumferential band an has a pair of arms 8 between which a wood handle 12 is suitably fixed at 1 8. The circumferential band is clampedupon the bottle by the same means sis-before.
I claim 5- 1. A bottle holder comprising a circumferen'tial band means by which the band may be contracted upon the bottle producing a clamping action, arms extending from the band, and portions extending from the arms at angles thereto being bent upon themselves to'provide a handle.
2. A bottle holder comprising a circumferential band having the ends bent to, provide lugs, clamping means carried by said lugs, including a bolt and nut for contracting the band upon the bottle, a pair of arms integral with the band, and an integral plate at the extremity of each arm,v said plates being bent over toward "each other and curled beneath each other to provide a telescopic arrangement and produce a GEO.
