CLOTHES HANGER.

Application filed November 7, 1927. Serial No. 231,512.

An object of my invention is to provide a clothes hanger, the major portion of which 1s formed of suitably bent wire, and the hook of which is rotatable.

5 Another object is to provide a guide plate and shield for the hook upon which the name of the cleaning establishment may be placed.

A further object is to provide a clothes hanger which is simple in construction and is inexpensive in manufacture.

Other objects, advantages and features of invention may appear in the accompanying drawings, the subjoined detailed descriptions, and the appended claim.

Referring more particularly to the drawc,

My clothes hanger comprises an upper frame member 1, preferably formed of wire, the outer ends of which are bent inwardly as in 2-2, which ends extend into a bar 3,

which bar may be formed either of wood or of metal as desired.

A frame member 1, is bent into a loop 4, in the center thereof, and a. hook 5, extends through the loop and is formed with a head 6, on the bottom thereof, so that it will be held 85 in the loop, thus it will be seen that the hook can be rotated toany desired position. To steady the hook and to provide a space upon which the name of the cleaning establishment can be placed, I provide a plate 7, said plate being formed of a single strip of metal bent around the frame 1, and crimped closely about the shank of the hook 5, the meeting edges of the plate being crimped, soldered or other= wise suitably secured together.

If desired the frame 1, may be flattened as at 8, and a hole 9, drilled therein, the shank of the hook extending through the hole and being held in position by the head as above described.

Having described my invention, I claim:

A clothes hanger comprising a. wire frame, a loop formed in said wire frame, a hook extending through the loop, a head on the bottom of said hook adapted to bear a ainst the 55 loop, and a metal plate bent aroun the wire frame fitted closely about the hook.
