Anotherobject of my invention is the production of a metallic flowerbox and drain tray which is ornamental, strong, clean,l sanitary, durable and'cheap to manufacture.

Bails 24 and 25 are also provided at'the ends 1l and 12 near their upper edges, slidably fastened thereto by clamps 26 and 27 said bails being depressible flush with the upper edges of the ends 11 and' l2 to lend neatness to the device when in use.

The drain tray 2 receivesthe window box and is a shallow pan like structurey having low vert-ical sides which neatly fit the lower part of the box. Transverse ribs or battens 8() and 31, formed of metal and soldered orotherwise fastened to the bottom of the tray on the inner side, act as supports for the window box and allow space for the circulation of the drainwater. Corresponding to battens 3() and 31 are other ItY i similar battens 32 and 33 on the under side v of the tray and serve to supportthe saine o out of contact with the Window-sill or other pension chains 35 and 36 attached by means of eyes 37 and 38, and adjustment of the chains maybe effected by selectively enrv ploying the links as eyes.

I prefer that my flower boxvbe made of copper and the tray of galvanized sheet iron as being stronger and inore durable thanif inade of Wood or of any other ina terial. It ofcourse may be Vpainted or otherwise decorated to suit the individual taste of the user.

An' adjustable Window box comprising telescoping sections, clamping means for said sections, each section having apertures in the bottom portion thereof, the apertures of one section being. registrable with the apertures of the other section, said registering' apertures permitting passage of said clamping means for I'ixedly holding said sections in adjusted relation, said apertures also functioning as drains for said Windowf box, suspension chains on said Window box, adjusting means on said suspension chains,

a drain tray for said Window box, a drain ,clampingl bolt for fixedly holding said section invadjusted relation, said apertures also functioning as drains for said Window box, suspension chains on said Window box, adjusting means on said suspension chains, bails on said Window box, said bails being depressible when not in use, a drain tray vfor said Window box, a drain pipe for said drain tray, battens on the upper and lower sides of the bottoni of said drain tray, suspension .chains on said drain tray, and adjustable means on said suspension chains.
