Application filed July 25,
My invention relates to improvements in games, and it consists inthe combinations, constructions, and arrangements herein described and claimed. I a
An object of my invention is to provide a game in which a slidable bunker is provided for aiding in making the game more diflicult toplay. y
A further object of my invention is to provide a game of the type described in which a trap is provided to further aid in makingthe game morediflicult to play.
A further object of myinventionis-to provide a game of the type described in which both sides are used; and in which both sidesmust be used in order to complete the game. r h p Other objects'and advantages will appear inthe following specification,.and the novel features of'the invention. will be particularly pointedout in the appended] claims.
My invention is illustrated in the accompanying-drawings, forming part of this application in which Figure 1' is a top plan view of the game,
Figure 2, is at bottom plan view ofthe game, and
Figure 3; is a section along the line 3-3 ofFignre. 1..
In. carrying. out my inventiomI provide a square casing; 1 formed of walls having grooves 2. extending longitudinally therein and. disposed at substantially the center thereof. A main partition 3 is centrally disposed in the casing land is held against displacement, due to the fact that the edges thereof are received in the grooves 2. Two sets-ofauxiliary partitions A andiB are disposedi upon each side of the main partition 31 A wire mesh .4 is disposed over the set ofauxiliary partitions A and is rigidly held inplace-by, retainingstripsfi. A; wire mesh 6 is disposedfoverthe. auxiliary partitions B andjis rigidly held. in place by retaining strips 7.. Anopening 8. is. provided in the wire. mesh, at; one; corner thereof for the insertionof a-ball'9. The game is. started by. dropping'thepball through theopening 8 and allowing the .ball to passthrough a compartment 10 past a springcatch or trap 11 which isdisposed in the. compartment 10. Asthe ball passes tothe opposite end of the compartment 10, ,it, may pass. into the adjacent compartment 12 through anopen 1927.. Serial No. 208,317,
short partition 28.
The ballis now back between the auxiliary compartments A within acompart-ment 29. The ball may pass from the compartment 29 through openings 30 and by a artition 31 to a compartment 32. Inrol ing. along the compartment 32, the ball. is guided through an opening 33. by a transversely extending partition 34 and into a compartment 35. The ball in passing to the opposite end of the compartment 35 may pass into a. compartment 36 throughlopenings 37 and by a partition 38.
. The casing is then tilted allowing the ball to roll to the opposite end of the compartment 36. Then by. tilting the casing in anotherdirection the ball may, pass through openings 39 to a compartment 40. A movable bunker i1 which is closedupon all sides, with the exception of a portion indicated at 42 which is arranged to align with the ends of the compartments 10, 12 and40. The normal positiomthat position taken by the bunker when the game is started, is in alignment with the compartments 12 and 40. However as the casing is tilted to althe compartment 40, is slidably disposed at low the ball to roll through the openings 39, the bunker, which slides freely, moves into alignment with the compartments 10 and 12. Therefore it is the purpose of the player to'prevent the ball from rolling back through the openings 39 and to slant the casing sufficiently to allow the bunker to move so that the open portion 42 is in alignment with the compartment 40. By tilting the casing, the bunker may be moved to bringthe ball into alignment with the opening 8.
There are several traps, these being compartments having an inlet and no outlet. These traps are indicated at 43, 44, 45, 46 and 47 upon that side of the main partition between the auxiliary partitions A, and 48 and 49 upon that side of the main partition between the auxiliary partitions B.
I have indicated one route through which the ball may be passed in order to bring the ball back to the starting point. It is obvious that in this route I did not use the opening indicated at 50, but the ball may be passed through the compartments and through the opening 50 which forms a different route in passingthe ball from the starting pointthrough the game and back again.
I claim:

4. A game of the type described comprising a casing, a main partition centrally dis posed in said casing, auxiliary partitions for forming a plurality of parallel compartments disposed upon one side of said mainv partition and having passageways therethrough, auxiliary partitions disposed upon the opposite side of said main partition for forming parallel compartments which extend at right angles to said first named compartments and having passageways therein, covers for said compartments, one of said covers having an opening therein arranged to receive aball, a. spring catch arranged to allow the ball to pass thereby in only one direction, said ball being adapted to pass through a predetermined group of the compartments between the auxiliary partitions, said main partition having an opening therein in alignment with compartments upon each side thereof for directing the ball from one side of said main partition to the other side thereof, said ball being adapted to be moved through predetermined groups of the compartments and back into registration withthe'opening in the cover, and movable means adapted to interfere with the passage of the ball into registration with the opening in the cover, said means comprising a movable bunker arranged to move intoand out of registration with the opening in said cover.
5. A game of the type described comprising a casing, a main partition centrally disposed in said casing, auxiliary artitions for forming a plurality of para lel compartments disposed upon one side of said main partition and having passageways therethrough, auxiliary partitions disposed upon the opposite side of said main partition for forming parallel compartments which extend at right angles to saidfirst named compartments and having passageways therein, cov
