UNITED sures PATENT OFFICE.
EATSUZUGEI 201733180, HONOLULU, TERRITORY Ol' HAWAII.
annular Application fled August 4, 1828. aerial No. 127,151.
This invention relates to a device for burning crude oil and the like, the general object of the invention being to provide a furnace or stove having a combustion chamber with an openin in its bottom, with an oil burner arrang with its mouth under the opening so that the flame from the burner will enter the casing, with means for supplying fuel and air to the burner.
provide means whereb the burner can be removed so that it can be cleaned.
This. invention also consists in certain other features of construction and in the 18 combination and arrangement of the several parts, to be hereinafter fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and specifically pointed out in the appended c aim. In describing my invention in detail, reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which Figure 1 is side view of the burner and showing part of its supporting means.
Figure 2 is a sectional view through the burner. f
Figure 3 is a plan view of the'burner.
As shown in these views, the burner 1 is (formed with a cylindrical body, an inwardly and upwardly sloping top and a wide mouth 2 which is of cylindrical shape. Op-
ositely arranged, ins 3 extend outward- The bottom of the burner is formed with an opening 4 which is surrounded by a cylinder 5 having a conical upper end 6. Holes 7 are formed in the Another object of the invention is to.
The oil collecting in the bottom of the burner 1 is ignited and the air entering the perforations 7 and 8 will support combustion within the device and the resultant flames will pass throu h the mouth 2.
It is thought from t e foregoin descrip tion that the advantages and nove features 60 of my invention will be readily a parent.
I desire it to be understood t at I may make changes in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts, provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claim.
What I claim is v A burner of the character described comprising a cylindrical body of uniform diameter t roughout, and including a conicalshaped top having a relatively wide month, an annular flan e'rising from said mouth, 7 pinsprojecting. rom diametrically opposite ints on said flan e, a flat bottom for said y portion having a centrally located opening, a cylindrical wall forming an integral part of said bottom and risin therefrom within the body portion, sai cylindrical wall and body portion being rforated, a conical-shaped top rising rom the cylindrical'wall and provided with an opening in 'theapex thereof, and a fuel supp y pipe'entering'saidbody at a point ad- Jacent-the bottom.
In testimon whereof I aflix my si ature.
SUZUCHI YONEI'filRO.
