In the use ,of this hairwaving device, thel curling fluid and` the head harness without -the combs' is'placed upon the Vhead of the user and tied thereon with the narrow stri los parted. Although but one specific embodiment of this invention has been herein shown and described, it will be understood that numerous details of the construction shown may be altered or omitted without departing from the spirit of this invention as defined by the following claims.

I claimt ljA- hair waving device comprising spaced supporting members adapted to be secured to the head of a user, a series of hair engaging combs attached to said supporting members and spanning the space therebetween, and means for permitting longitudinal shifting of said combs in alternate directions with respect to each other.

2. The method of waving hair comprising the placing of a supporting harness on the head of the user, resiliently attaching a plurality of hair engaging combs to said harness in substantially parallel relationship, shifting said combs longitudinally in alternate directions for Waving the hair, and then fastening said combs in such shifted position.

A hair waving device comprising spaced' supporting members adapted to be secured to the head of the user, resilient comb attaching means carried by said members, a plurality of combs having one end detach-ably connected with said resilient attaching means, said combs being adapted lo engage the hair of the user and to be shifted longtiudinally to form waves therein, and means on said supporting members for engaging the opposite ends of said combs for retaining them in such .shifted position.
