An overlapping edge 15 is formed at the socket and extending in practice completely about the same so that an undercut groove 16 is presented at the edge portion of the socket, (as best shown in Figure 4) The resiliency of the material of the head at the eye sockets holds the eyeballs let firmly in position and the overlapping edge portion 15 and undercntgroov-e 16 prevent the accidental displacement of the eyeballs and indeed make it practically impossible to extract the eyeballs Without a person gaining access to the interior of the head to press outwardly on the portion 12 forniingthe closed inner side of the sockets.

A dolls head having sockets formed of resilient rubber, the inner side of; the sockets leing closed and the front of each socket having a convex protuberance, eyeball shells fitting over said protuberances and resilient lips at the edgesol the sockets overlapping the eyeball elements.
