Be it known that I, EDWIN C. FOHMANN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia', in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented new and useful Improvements in Games, of

which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in game` apparatus and has for an object the provision'of a novel and amusing game in which the skill of the players will determine the final result.

Another object of the invention is'the provision of a game of this character which may be used either as a toy game, or may be made in relatively large sizes and of sectional formation.

With the above and other objects in view, the invention further includes the following novel features and details of construction, to be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and pointed out in the appended claims.

In the drawings l Figure 1 is a plan view of a game apparatus embodying the present invention.

Referring in detail toy the drawings, wherein like characters of reference denote corresponding parts, the reference character 10 indicates a receiving member which may be of a block-like structure having a flatbase and an Vupwardly inclined concaved upper surface 11. Extending within the member 10 from the upper surface 11 is a plurality of openings or pockets 12, each of which is of a particular value as indicated by the numbers placed adjacent these pockets.

In addition, the apparatus includes a platform or runaway 13 which extends fromr the forward edge of the member 10 and is prefa erably separable therefrom. The member 10 and the platform or runaway 13 are secured together by'means of dowel pins 14 which extend from the end of the platform or runway 13 and engage sockets 15 pro-` vhorizontal runway,

.vided in the adjacent face of the member 10. The upwardly inclined upper face 11 of the member 10 has its lower edge flush with the adjacent edge of the platform or runway 13. V f

In playing the game, a marble or ball 16 is utilized which may be shot or otherwise propelled along the platform or runway so as to ride up the downwardly inclined surface 11 lofthe member 10 and enter one of the pockets 12. The player who makes the highest score within a given number of shots may win the game, or the player first reaching a particular score may win.

The invention is susceptible of various changes in its forni, proportions and minor details of construction and the right is herein reserved to make such changes as properly fall within the scope of the appended claims.

Having described the invention what is claimed is 2- 1. A game embodying a flat elongated horizontal runway, a horizontally and vertically disposed substantially triangular member at one end thereof, said member having an upwardlyextending concaved face with its lowermost portion merging into theV upper face of the runway, said member being further provided with vertically disposed openings extending therethrough and ydefining passages openl at each end.

2. A Vgame Vembodying a flat elongated a horizontally and vertically disposed'substantially triangular member at one end thereof, dowel pins extending into one end of the the triangular member, said member having an upwardly'extending concaved face with itsl lowermost portion merging into the upper face of the runway at its point of lconnection with the latter, said member being further provided with vertically disposed openings extending therethrough and defining passages open at each end.
