To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DANIEIT G. MARKS, a citizenof the United States, residing at Los Angeles, in the county of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented new and useful Improvements in Pipe-Cleaning Devices, of which the following is a specification. v

The internal diameter of the pipe 19 is such as to not only rotatably receive the coiled end 16 but to remainder of t e wire 15 about the coiled end 16 so that when the wire is not in use it may occupy the coiled position shown in Figure 2.
When employing the device in effecting rmit of the coiling of the the removal of sediment or other solid matfer from a water or gas ipe, the member 18 is inserted into one en of the pipe and forced throu h the pipe in the usual manner, the wire 15 in uncoiled during this operation. When t e proper cleaning of the pipe has beenv efiected, the wire '15 is withdrawn from the ipe, and during such withdrawal the coiled portion of the wire is rotated within the holder 19, thus effecting the coiling of the wire as it is withdrawn from the pipe. This obviously prevents the sediment-covered wire from spreadin to all arts of the room during the remova thereof om. the pi e. During the unwinding of i the coil, it will be clear that by rotating the the wire can be fed coil through the holder into the pipe.
When em loyin the device for training conductors t roug conduits, it will be clear that the conductors can be attached to the Y element 18 after the wire 15 has been trained throu h theconduit, so that by removi the wire" cm the conduit the training 0 the conductors through'the latter canbe efiected. In coiling and uncoilingthe wire during this 0 ration, the holder 19 operates in conjunction with the coiled end of the wire to facilitate the uncoiling of the wire and the recoiling thereof. t-
I claim. as my invention:
1. A device of the character described comprising a length of resilient wire having one end. coiled upon itself and secured "in coiled form, and means for rotatably receiving the coiled end.
