In this form of construction, links 27 carry the pivot-pins 13 at theirvsinaller ends and are provided withrap'ertures 27c one end of each of which is flattened atv27d to rest against the flat surface of the bar 25 when in norinal position. Y

At the other end of the flat surface 27d is a curved contact surface 27e conforming to the rounded sides 251 ot' the pin 2.5. `With this form of construction, under buffing actuation and compression of the spring,` l2, the links 2"? will be moved or rocked to position shown in Fig; 7, during which movement a rounded end of the pin 2b' rcceives the thrust from the corresponding rounded contact surface 27e of the .link 27. @n movement from normal in the opposite direction, the link 27 will move to the p 3i tion shown in Fig. 8, and thrust and bearing contact will be at the opposite side of the pin 25 and the corresponding rounded surface 27e of the link. ln this manner, thrust and beaming is distributed between two surfaces of the pin.
lt will be apparent that by the construction described above, not only will greater bearing surface be provided but the center of rotation of the link will be shifted for the movement in different directions from normal position, this shift being away `from the direction of movement of the link, thereby permitting a greater rotation wit iin the limited confines of the supporting` bracket.
It will be apparent that my invention is susceptible of modification and l do not wish to be restricted to the forms shown and dcscribed, except as defined in the appended claims.
-What I claim is l. In combination, a bracket, a bu'l'ler spring, a link pivotally connected to one end thereof, pivot means carried by said bracket and comprising a pair of spaced bearing; surfaces, said link being provided with a pair of spaced portions corresponding` to and contactable with said bearing' surfaces, one of said portions being,` journaled on a Corresponding bearing; surface when said link is moved from normal position in one direction and the other portion being journaled on the other bearing surface when said link is moved from normal position in the other direction.
2. ln combination, a bracket, a buil'er spring, a` link pivotally connected to one end thereof, pivot means carried by said bracket comprising a pair of spaced bearing surfaces, said link being provided. with spaced portions corresponding to and contactable with said bearing' surfaces whereby upon movement of said link from normal. position in one direction, one of said portions will be journaled upon the corresponding bearing surface, and upon movement in the opln combination, a bracket comprising,`
top and bottom plates, a pivot member extending between said plates and provided with spaced bearing surfaces, an end link mounted upon said pivot member and havit; portions constructed and arranged to bear upon said bearing surfaces of said pivot member. Y

,5. ln combination, a bracket, a link, a spring` having` one end pivotally attached to said link, a pair of spaced pivot members carried by said bracket, said link beingv provided with bearing surfaces normally contacting with said pivot members.
6. ln combination, a bracket, a link, a springv having,` one end pivotally attached to said link, a pair of spaced pivot members carried by said bracket, said link being provided with bearing` surfaces normally contacting with said pivot members and constructed and arranged in such wise that one of said portions will be moved out of contact with the corresponding pivot member upon movement of said link from normal position in one direction and the other upon movement of said link from normal position in the other direction.
7. ln combination, a bracket, a. buffer spring, a link pivotally attached to one end thereof, pivot means carried by said bracket provided with a pair of spaced bearing surfaces, said ling being' provided with bearing portions contactable therewith, the bearing contact between said link and pivot means being shifted laterally in a direction opposite to the direction of travel from normal position of said pivoted spring end.
