Description
J. MONSON TOY June 1 1926.
Filed August' 25, 1925 INVENTOR ilwm ATTORNEY l atented June 1, 1926.
UNITED ST TENT OFFIE.
Application filed August 25, 1925.
This invention relates to amusement and pastime games and has reference to spinning toys.
The purpose of the invention. is to pro- 6 vide a spinning toy that is spun on the edge and offers a great diversity of chances.
The toy is made in the form of a disc thickest at the center and thinnest at the edge. It may be circular in circumference 10 with rounded and squared edges. The opposite sides are divided into sunken facets radiating from the center. The facets may be opposite each other on the opposite sides or alternating and define ridges acting as 15 resting bases of the toy, and when spun on the edge it may come to rest on any of the ridges on any side. Both sides are alike.
Game indicia is placed opposite the resting bases on the opposite sides.
Referring to the accompanying drawing: Figure 1 is a side elevation of the toy. Figure 2 is a section in the line 12 12 of Fig.
Figure 3 is a section in the line 13 13 of 25 Fig. 1.
Serial No. 52,308.
In the drawing Figures 1 to 8, inclusive, show the circular disc-shaped toy thickets at the center, 1, and thinnest at the edge, 2. The opposite sides are divided in facets, 3, radiating from the center, and it will be obac served that said facets are sunken thus defining the ridges, radiating from the center and forming resting bases of the toy.
I claim:
1. A spinning toy comprising a disc-shaped 3 body thickest at the center and thinner at the edge having on its opposite sides ridges radiating from the center, these ridges forming the resting bases of the toy after being spun,
2. A spinning toy comprising a discshaped body thickest at the center and thinner at the edge having on its opposite sides ridges radiating from the center, these ridges forming the resting bases of the toy after 45 being spun, and game indicia on the opposite sides.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification.
J ONS MONSON.
