fleretofore the efiiciency of headlights has been impaired by the entrance of dust and n'ioisture into as also the condensation of moisture within the case and the deposit of the saine upon the lamp, the reflector and the glass through Which the rays are projected to effect the desired illumination.V
lt is the prinii'iry purpose of this invention to provide a headlight having a ease that will effect the maximum exclusion of dust and moisture While discharging any moisture that may be condensed or otherwise collected therein, to the end that the highest degree or eiiiciency of illumination may be obtained, without impairment by such dust and moisture.
The characteristic features of my invention are embodied in the headlight set out :in the lolloiving description and the aecompauying drawings in illustration thereof.

The headlight illustrated comprises the cylindrical ease body l having the tightly closed back 2. front door 3 and side doors d, each provided With tight joints adapted for obtaining the maximum exclusion of dust and moisture and for preventing deposit thereof upon the glass 5 of the front door, the glass 6 of the side doors, the lamps and 8 whose rays are projected through the respective doors, and the reflector 9 for projecting the of 'the lamp 7.

This holder or fixture as shoivn comprises a ring adapt-ed for engaging the periphery of the disk While leaving the central body portion thereof exposed, feet 32 adapted for resting upon the bottom of the case if desired and holding the disk in place While permitting` such disk to perform its filtering function beneath the ring, and the lugs 33 adapted for securing the holder to the body l and to the frame of the door 3.
