The screw 60 projects Outwardlj7 through an opening 65 in the 4cover 14, from which it is .insulated by the slab 36, and is provided with a lock nut GG so arranged that the position ot the screw may be adjusted and locked.
The electro-magnet Q4 is connected to the bushing` 62 by means ot a wire 68 and, at its opposite end is connected by a wire TO to a bushing T2 mounted in the slab 86. A binding screw i' 4 is mounted in the bushing 72 and .extends outwardly through an opening 76 in lthecorer 14, y'from which .it is insulated by means ot a washer 'T8 o1"A insulating material. Through this wiring :an electrical connection 'is provided from a source ot' electricity through a lead wire 8O connected to the binding post 74 and through the wire 70, electroanagnet 24 and wire G8 to the screw Contact GO. lllhen the contact 58 touches ther screw contact 8O the circuit is completed through the lealc 54 and arm 42 to the cover 14 with which th`e'ar1n42 and frame 2G contact. The cover 14 is provided with a binding screw 82 to which a lead wire 84 may be connected to return the current to the source ot electrical energy. The electromagnet is thus energized, attracting the arm '42, acting as an armature, breaking the conact connection 58-G0, thus de-energizing the magnet and pern'iitting the armature arm to be thrown by the sprine' 50 'to again establish the connection through the contacts 58-60 and repeat the operations. rlhe arm 42 is thus set into rapid vibrations in the usnal manner and the bell rung.

Having thus .described our invention, what we claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
l. A device ot the kind described which comprises, a traine having a pair of lugs with notches opening endwise ot' said trame, a hammer armature arm extending through said frame and having projecting pivot pins extending into said notches and i'neans retaining said pins in said notches.

A device of the lrind described which comprises, a traine having a pair oit lugs with notches opening endwise ot said trame, a hammer armature arm extending through said frame and having projecting pivot pins extending into said notches, and a .cover n ting over said trame and closing the ends of said notches.
3. A device of the kind .described which comprises, a fra-me having a` pair of lugs with notches opening endwise of said frame, a hammer armature arm extending through said frame and having projecting pivot pins extending into said notches, an electromagnet mounted on one face ot' said frame, a spring between said electromagnet and said armature arm, and a cover enclosing said frame and electro-magnet and closing` the ends of said notches.
4. A device of the type described which comprises, a hollow, channel shaped trame, an electro-magnet mounted on the outer surface of one side of said frame, an arma ture pivoted to, and extending within, said frame, an insulated contact on said trame, .a spring pressing said armature against said cont-act, and a connection between said contact and one end of the winding ci said electro-magnet.
5. A device of the type described which comprises, a cover, a trame mounted in said cover, said traine having a pivot notch, an armature arm extending within said :trame and pivoted in said notch, an electro-magnet mounted on said :traine within said cover, an insulated contact on said frame connected to said electro-magnet, a contact on said armature arm and a spring between said magnet and said armature arm pressn ing said contacts together.

comprises, a frame having a met-allic'bacl; and sides and a front of insulating material,- a pair of notches in one end of said sides, an armature arm extending through Said frame and having pivot pins mounted in said notches, means retaining said pins in said notches, an electro-magnet mounted on the back of said frame, terminals on said insulating front connected to said electromagnet, one of said terminals having a contact point, a spring between said electromagnet and said arm pressing said armature arm to said contact point and an electrical connection from said armature arm.

A device of the type described which comprises, a cover, a frame fitting the lfront portion of said cover, an electro-magnet extending between said frame and the rear wall of said cover, an armature arm pivoted in notches in one end of said frame and extending through said frame and the opposite end of said cover, a. spring between said electromagnet and said arm, insulated terminals on said frame connected to said electro-magnet, one of said terminals having a contact point contacted by said armature arm in a direction opposite said spring, the other contact having a binding post, and a binding post on said cover in electrical connection 'with said armature arm.

A device of the type described which comprises, a channel shaped frame having a pair of aligned notches in opposite edges at one end, a hammer armature arm extend*- ing through the channel of said frame and having pintles journaled in said notches, means retaining said pintles in said notches, an electro-magnet mounted on an external face of said Jframe, and a spring confined between said magnet and said hammer arma-ture arm.
9. A device of the type described which comprises, a channel shaped frame having a pair of aligned'notches in opposite edges at one end, a hammer armature arm extending through the channel of said frame and having pintles journaled in said notches, an electro-magnet mounted on an external face of said frame, a spring conined between said magnet and said hammer armature arm, and a cover enclosing the walls of said fra-me, and the outer end of said electromagnet.
