IMPROVEMENT IN CORN-HUSKERS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 157,982, dated December 2-2, 1874; application filed May 18, 1874.

To all wlibm it may concern:

Be it known that I, DAvrD BABBITT, of 0ameron, county of Warren, State of Illinois, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Corn-Huskers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, in which Figure l is a perspective view. Fig. 2 is a plan view of the device.

A represents metallic bar, with a curve at B, and a knob, G, and horn D. The curve B, coming against the forefinger of the hand, as seen in Fig. 1, prevents the husker from slipping backward through the hand when the horn D is brought in contact'with the husks. The

knob G prevents the loss of the strap and rings E when the husker is not on the hand. The bar A is also provided with a strap, F,

and rings G and H. The ring G is held on the horn D by the brace I, provided for that purpose, but so arranged as to allow the strap F and ring G to be turned to the other side of the bar A, thus having a flexible fastening, and allowing the husker to be used on either hand.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The combination, with the bar A of ahuskin g-peg, of the strap F, passing freely through the fixed ring G and movable ring H, as and for the purpose set forth.
