Be it known that .I, HARRY LA G-E a citizen of the United States, and'resident of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee and State of -Wisconsin, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Door Fixtures; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof. i
This invention relates to door fixtures'and is particularly directed to mechanism for temporarily holding a swinging door open.

Manually operable-1 means for releasing the bar is carried by the outer end of the bar 4, and in the form illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, comprises a lever 10 piv'otallysecured,

The operation of the apparatus is as follows :The door, as stated, is swung into its open position in the usual manner and.

Figure 5 shows a further-form of the invention in which the bar 14 isdevoid of" notches and instead a notch 15 is provided in the cam shaped portion of the latching lever 16. Figure 8 shows a further form in which the arm 26 is provided with a locking shoulder 27 adjacent its outer end and with a beveled face 28 leading to such shoulder, as shown in dotted lines in such figure.
