The sheet taking device may be a rotary cylinder 1, suitably mounted between side frames 2 and 3 of the machine. The cam 4 is carried by the shaft 5 of the rotary cylinder 1 for controlling the movement of the sheet stop shaft operating lever ,6 of the sheet feed guide mechanism. I

The means for adjusting the position of the free end of the sheet stop shaft operating lever 6 comprises a short arm 38 on said lever and a lug 39 on the socket15, through which lug an adjusting screw 40 passes into engagement with the short arm. 38 of the lever 6. e

An outer concentric cross shaft 234s By loosening the set screw 27, either end of the sheet stop rock lever may be adjusted toward and away from the sheet taking device through the worm gear connections 22, 18 or 2%, 19, by turning the handle 25 orhandle 26, bringing the rock shaft into parallelism with the sheet taking device. The set s rew may then be tightened to lock the shaft 23 to the shaft 21 when the turning of either handle will move the rock shaft bodily toward or away from the sheet taking device to bring the sheet stops into proper register therewith.
It will thus be seen that simple, accessible and effective manually operated means is provided at one side of the machine whereby either one or both cross shafts may be rotated to move the end bearings to bring the sheet stop rock shaft into parallelism and to move said rock shaft bodily to bring the sheet stops into proper register.
It is evident that various changes may be resorted to in the construction, form and arrangement of the several parts without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention; hence, I do not wish to limit myself to the particular embodiment herein shoWn and described, but
What I claim is 1. A sheet taking device and a sheet feed guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock shaft, sheet stops carried thereby, and means for adjusting either one or both ends of the shaft to bring the shaft into parallelism and arranged to coact to bring the sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device.
2. A sheet taking device and a sheet feed guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock shaft, sheet stops carried thereby, fixed sockets, end bearings for the rock shaft yieldingly mounted in said sockets, and means for adjusting either one or both ends of the shaft to bring the shaft into parallelism and arranged to coact to bring the sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device.
3. A sheet taking device and a sheet feed. guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device, said means comprising concentric manually operated cross shafts having Worm gear connections with their respective end bearings.

A sheet taking device and a sheet feed guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock shaft, sheet stops carried thereby, fixed sockets, en'd bearings for the rock shaft yieldingly mounted in said sockets, and means for adjusting either one or both ends of the shaft to bring the shaft into parallelism and arranged to coact to bring the sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device, said means comprising concentric manually operated cross shafts having worm gear connections with their respective end bearings, and means for looking the shafts to turn together.
A sheet taking device and a sheet feed guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock shaft, sheet stops carried thereby, and means for adjusting either end of the shaft to bring it into parallelism With the sheet taking device and the sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device, said means comprising fixed sockets, end bearings for the shaft mounted in said sockets and provided with shanks, Worm gears screw-threaded on said shanks, and concentric manually operated cross shafts having worms meshing With their respective Worm gears.
6. A sheet taking device and a sheet feed guide mechanism therefor comprising, a rock shaft, sheet stops carried thereby, and means for adjusting either end of the shaft to bring it into parallelism with the sheet taking device and the sheet stops into proper register with the sheet taking device, said means comprising fixed sockets, end bearings for the shaft mounted in said sockets and provided with shanks, Worm gears screw-threaded on said shanks, concentric manually operated cross shafts having Worms meshing with their respective Worm gears, operating handles for said cross shafts at the same side of the machine, and means for looking the two cross shafts to turn together.
