Be it known that we, JOHN V. Prrcmm and J 0113' F. BABBI'I'I, citizens :of the United States, and residents of Louisville, inthe county of Jefferson and State of Kentucky, have invented certain new and useful. Improvements in Shoulder-Strap Holders," of

Our present invention relates to improvements in shoulder strap holders, or'lingerie clasps as they are frequently called, and aims to provide an economical article which is light and ofneat and attractive appearance, which will be practically invisible under the thinnest cloth, which can be easily and-quickly attached, and'its manner of use With these and other objects in view, the invention includes the novel features of construction and arrangement and combination of parts hereinafter. described, the precise nature and scope of our-inventlonbeing defined by the claims a pended hereto.

Referring by reference characters to this drawing, the numeral 1 designates a bar or attaching member which is designed to be sewed to the under side or inner face of the outer body garment, and is preferably composed of transparent or translucent celluloid, which while stiff enough to retain its shape, is flexible or resilient enough to accommodateitself to thepurve of the shoulder without discomfort to the wearer. . Having thus described our invention, what we claim is l. "An article jof the class described, compr1s1ng a carrying member having means for attachment to a garment, and a retaining membercomprising an elastic tape havmg one end ermanently attached to said carrying mem er adjacent one end'thereof,

said tape having its free portion provided with a hook for engaging an eye in the carrying member.

An article of the class described, comprising a carrying member havin notches in the sides adjacent each end, an a holding member comprising an elastic tape having 'one'end permanently connected to said carrying member adjacent the notches at one end thereof, the free portion of said tape being provided with a hook or projection for engaging an eye inthe carrying member.

4. An article of the class described, comprising an elongated carrying, member having garment attaching means, an elastic tape,
