In connection with the supporting in po siftion of large heavy doors, and particularly in connection with liingedly supportingin position the end member of a door Astructure that comprisesa plurality of door-sections that a-rehinged together after the mans ner illustrated ,in yLetters Patent No l,357,299,-granted upon'my application, it is frequentlyfound necessary or desirable thatv the pintles ofthehinges .be located at some little distance from one `edge of the doorway so as to allow such heavy vsingledoor, or the door made up ofa number of membersv connected together as stated, to be turned to. stand, when inopen position, entirely clear of the doorway. At` other times it is desirable that such hinge-pintles be 1oeated close tothe edge ofthe doorway.

In combination, 4a hinge comprising a strap member and a. pintle-supporting member adapted to be, attached to aldoor and a jamb, respectively, a clip adapted to be attached to the door and overlie and fit different parts of the innerend portion of the strap member to permit said pintle-supporting member to be located at different distances from the edge of the door,4 and other fastening means inserted 'through an opening in the outer'end portion of the strap member.

In combination, a hinge; comprising a strap member and a pintle-supportingmember adapted to :bei attached toa doorv and a jamb,respectively`, a clip adapted torbe attached yto the4 door `and overlie a predeteih minedpart of the inner end portion of the strapl` member to permit .it to be located-at varying distances fromfthe edge 'of the door, and other fastening means inserted through an openingzin` the outer endportion of the strap member, such openingbeing approxi` mately the'same size as said fastening means.
