One of the more specificobjects of the invention is to provide, in play suitoit the. typementioned, in whichthe bloomers are provided with a drop seat. a novel arrange ment of the waist-band of bloomers whereby the drop seat may be buttoned into place without the l astening or suppo'rting means being visible when the suit is being worn as a bloomer romper. In this connection the invention further contemplates so con structing the waistband-that although the drop seat is secured by a mean'sinvisible at the exterior of the garment, the seat may be readily unfastened by achild of ordinary years.

In the accompanying drawings Figure 1 is a perspective view of the suit worn as a bloomer dress the side placket of the skirt being shown open.

The suit embodying the invention comprises a waist which is indicated in general by the numeral 1, a skirt indicated in general by the numeral 2, and the bloomers indicated in general by thenumeral These three pieces of the garment may be made from any cloth material found suitable for the purpose and all of the same material or they may be made of different kinds of material. Likewise the several pieces may be variously designed in accordance with t e taste of the manufacturer.

gaged over single one of the buttons 5, the placket will be closed at its upper end. The placket is also adapted to be closed by other buttons or similar fastening elements indicated by the numeral 9. v

The bloomers 3 are provided with a waistband 10 which extends from end to end of the upper margin of the front of the bloomers and which waist-band is provided with a belt extension 11 extending beyond one end of the said margin of the front and adapted to be brought about the waist of the wearer and its end connected with the waistband proper at the opposite end of the said margin of the bloomers. The waistband 10 is provided at suitable intervals in its length. as is also its extension 11 with button-holes 12 adapted to receive the buttons 5 as best shown in Figure 4 of the drawings. One of the button-holes 12 will be located at the free end of the extension 11, and another one of the said button-holes will be located at the end of the waist-band proper which is over-lapped by the said free'end of the extension 11 so that both of these specifically mentioned button-h0les will beadaptedto receive a single one of the buttons 5 which latter therefore serves not only for closing "the waist-band but also assists the other nerside of the extension 11 of the'waist- I band or the bloomers, at suitable intervals, and the drop seat' is provided at its upper edge with a corresponding number of said button 15, and consequently the pres ence of the seat and its fastening or securing means will not be appreciably noticeable From the foregoing description of the invention it will be understood that the gar ment may be worn as a bloomer dress, as illustrated in Figure 1 ot' the drawings, as a bloomer romper, as illustrated in Figure 3,

I or as a dress of the ordinary type in which latter event the bloomers 3 may be omitted.

It will also be evident that the drop seat 1.?) will be released by unbuttoning the upper edge, and that while this edge and the buttons securing the same are normally concealed from view, nevertheless no difliculty will be experienced by a child of ordinary years inunbuttoning the seat.

Having thus described the invention, what isclaimed as new is 1. In a garment of the class described, an upper garment, bloomers having a drop seat, a waistband for the bloomers, means for 'separably connecting the waistband of the bloomers with the upper garment, and means for separably connectingthe upper edge of the drop seat to the inner side of the said waistband. I

upper garment, bloomers having a drop sea a waistband for the bloomers. extending from end to end of the upper margin of the front thereof and provided with a belt extension leading from one end of the waistband proper and engageable at its free end with fastening means at the other end of the waistband proper, means for separably connecting the waistband as a'whole with the said upper garment, and a plurality'of buttons I upon the inner side of the extension of the waistband, the upper edge of the drop seat being provided witha plurality of buttonholes to receive said buttons.
