With these and other objects in view, which will be apparent from the drawings, specification and claims, this invention includes certain novel features of construction t and combinations of set forth. p

The body portion of the garment is made up of heavy drill or of lighter material, to suit the requirements and demands of the wearer, and is cut and fitted so that the back thereof will conform to the contour of the body. In the use of my improved underwaist the arms are slipped through the loops of the shoulder straps l and 5, and the tapering front portions 2 and 3 are drawn forward and are overlapped as shown in Fig. 1.
