which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in adjustable screens, particularly to window screens, and the object of my improvements is to supply a light, portable adjustablyextensible and inexpensive screen, having means for releasably securing it to window jambs or the like.
This object have accomplished by the means which are hereinafter described and claimed, and which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Fig. 1 is front elevation of the wire frame work of my screen, having its parts extended adjustably to traverse a window opening, with its opposite ends releasably secured to bearing strips of the jambsfthe flexible screen fabric not being shown. Fig- 2 is a front elevationof said frame work-- having its parts relatively-adjusted to be of less length,-and showing a flexible screen fabric covering it and removably secured thereto. Fig. 3 is an elevation of one of the U-shaped frame members, Fig. 4 is an elevation of one of the removable slidably ad justable carrying rods for an end of the screen fabric, and Fig. 5 is an elevation of one of the resilient wire rods used as releasable fastening-means, for an end of the frame. Fig. 6 is a longitudinal horizontal section of the complete device as shown in said Fig. 2. Fig. 7 is a vertical section of the frame only of said device as mounted releasably between the side strips of a window jamb.

The frame of my improved screen is composed of but six wire parts, and these parts consist of three sets or pairs of differently shaped wire elements which are shown in Figs. 3 to 5 inclusive. The open frame proper is composed of a pair of like but reversed U-shaped wire rods bent rectangularly in places to supply in each instance a vertical medial part 1 and two horizontal, longitudinal and parallel arms or parts 2 and 3, each of said parts having a terminal hook or eye 4.
