Be it known that l, FRANK l). PRENDER- GAsr, a citizen of the United States, residing to that class of such devices in which the Y handle is separably connected with the head.k A It is a well recognized` actgthat brooms which have their heads and handlesvperma` nently secured together cannot beconveniently packed for shipment because .ofthev odd shape of the articles, and during ship ment the bundles are liable to become broken l or the brooms damaged. Also in the 'use of the ordinary broom, when the head becomes considerably worn, the entire article 'is usually discarded notwithstanding the fact that the handle may bein perfectI condition.
