Figure 2 a top plan view of Figure 1,
Figure 3 a section on line 3-'3 of Fig ure 1,
.Figure 4 a section on line 4-4 of Figure 1,
Figure 5 a section on line 5-5 of Fig; ure 4. I
Referring to the drawings, 1 is a. casing, preferably of a tr'angular shape, having a rearwall 2, an inclined top 3 and a removable front wall 4: provided with an opening 5 anda perforated name 6 of the owner or vehicle) The front wall has formed at its bottom channel 7 adapted to receive a transparent plate 9 which covers opening 5 and perforated name 6. Lugs 9 extend downwardlyY om'top 3 and abutthe inner bottom of channel 7. The top of the front wall is bent to fo m a flange 10 from which cxtend-spring fing rs 11 adapted to engage front View of a lamp conthe inclined top 3\and thereby hold the transparent plate in place. The inner surface 12 of the ir iclined top serves as a reflector to refiect the light from a bulb 13 held by the rear wall. e rear wall has an extension 1st for holding a license tag 15 by screws or other securing means.
When the lamp is in use, bulb 13 is illumi nated and its light is reflected on the transparent plate To renew the. bulb or the transparent plate. access to the interior of the casingis casily gained, by removing the front wall. l To replace the front wall, the channel is placed against lugs 9 and the spring-fingers are snapped over the inclined top thereby securely holding the front wall in position.
While we have described our invention as taking a particular form, it will be understood that the various parts of our invention may be. changed without departing from the spirit thereof, and hence we do not limit ourselves to the precise construction set forth, but consider that we are at liberty to make such changes andalterations as fairly come within the scope of the appended claims Having thus described our invention, what we claim new and desire to secure by Let ters Patent is 1.
