same from germs, said brushes and receptacles being whollyconcealed when the cabinet is closed, andthe cabinet being also provided with a drawer for other toilet requisites.
A further object is to produce a cabinet,
, of this character in which the construction is such that the front may be wholly removed so that access can be obtained to the interior thereof and the articles arranged in said interior.
The foregoing, and other objects which will appear as the nature ofthe invention is better understood, may be accomplished by a construction, combination and operative association of parts, such as is disclosed by the drawings which accompany and which form part of this speciication.
In the drawings:-
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing a supported cabinet in accordance with this invention.
Figure 2 is a top plan view'with the cover v open.
Figure 3 is an approximately central vertical transverse sectional view through the cabinet with the cover closed.
Figure 4 is a sectional view onv the line 4 4 of Figure 2.
Figure 5 is a sectional view on the line 5-5 of Figure 4. y Figure 6 is a view illustratingv the `manner in which the containers or receptacles are removably attached to the plate therefor that supports the'same.
Figure 7 is a perspective view of the upper portion of one of the receptacles employed. As disclosed by the drawings, my. improved cabinet comprises a substantially rectangular member having its back 1 proquired for use.
f vided? with 'i eyes 2 through: which `are 'passed hooks Srvthatare 'screwed in the' wallv 1ofa bathroom' or the. like.v l'
, The front of the` cabinet is open, but has its ends provided withinwardly extending vertically disposed flangesffl: that terminate a desired distance yaway from 'the openitop` ofthe cabinet.. Inward of Vthe langesthere are arranged cleats` 5 fand-the cleats'andv flanges prov-ide ways for a plate 6 that closes the front of the cabinet. The bottomof the i cabinet isprovided with a drawer 7, and the front plate 6, may rest ,upon lthe top of the drawer. Thegfrontplate -isretained in thel cabinet: by meansl 8. 't This means may-comprise hooks and eyes. l v f are vertical cleats 9 that areof a length cor! i responding to that of the cleats 5,A the said cleats 5 being of a less lengththan the .l On the inner 'cornersof thecabinetthere 1 Resting on the cleatsv and 9, and having i its upper surface normally concealed by the removable front plate 6 is a shelflO. The
shelf is in the nature of a plate and is pro-v vided with any desired number-ofprefer#` ably round openings 11. .On its under face, the shelf 10 is formed with -annular flanges 12, keach of which surroundingthe respective Aopenings 11,l and each of the said flanges has spaced notches therethrough and the portions'13 between the notches are flangedk l mouths of glass or other non-corrosive re-*Igceptacles 16. It will thus be noted that the' receptacles are disposed below the respective openingsin the shelf 10, and each of theyre-1 ceptacles is designed to have inserted thereinv a suitable quantity of a liquid antiseptic solution, and in this solution there is received the bristle ends of tooth brushes. The han dles of the tooth brushes project above thev sheli= into the cabinet so that'ftheseparate brushes vmay be readily removed when reA Hinged to the back,` as at' 17 `is the top plate 18." The top plate has its free edge.v i
providedwitha downturned flange 19 that is designed to have its outer or lower` edge rest upon ,thel upper edges of the flange -Ll,
and thus with the plate 6, completely closel i The iange -19 -v l the front of the receptacle. y of the top 18 is latched to the frontk plate v6 tion and advantages of the improvementtoY those skilled in the art to which such inventions relate, and therefore further detailed:
description will not be attempted.
Having described the invention, I claimal. Acabinet for tooth brushes and other toilet requisites comprising .a lbox-liliebody haringen open front, a slidable plate partly Closing the front, a shelf in the cabinet supported below the upper edge ofthe front plate andv having spaced vopenings therethrough, threaded annular flanges' onfthe bottoniof the shelf surroundingtheA respectiveV openings,l theY receptacles having threaded mouth'portions'` engaged by' the threaded flanges, and said receptaclesf-de-` signed to 'receive `an antiseptic solution for toothbrushes inserted through the openings inthe shelf,va top 'hinged'tofthe back ofthe cabinet and having an outer flange designed tocover the open upper portion of thev front,
and means for locking the said flange to the saidfront.
2.,A cabinetafor, toothbrushes andfother toilet requisites, comprising a substantially rectangular receptacle having an open top and an open front,`inwardly extending vertical flanges at the corners of the front terminating away from the top thereof, cleatsI onf the-sides ofthe/cabinet inward of the flanges, a front plate guided between the cleats and flanges,` a` drawer at the bottoni of thecabinet onjwhich the-front plate rests, means for: latching the front plate in-the cabinet, cleats on the inner corners ofthe cabinet, a shelf-resting upon `all of the men# tionedcleats andfhaving spaced openingsy therefor, receptacles removablyrv secured 'to the under face of the shelf in a vline lwith said openings, a top hinged'ly secured to the back'of the-fcabinet,a flange-on the outer edge of the top designed'to close the upper: portion 'of the 1 cabinet f and; resting upon the upperedgesof the flanges, andl locking means. for the top. i
In testimony whereof I1 afm'y signature;
