SANITARY SEAT CQVEB.
.applicationfiled June 7, 1920. Serial No. 387,0)80.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, IDA D. \VILDER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Lake City, in the county of Columbia and State of F lorida, have invented new and useful Improvements in a Sanitary Seat Cover. of which the following is a specification.
The present invention relates 'to improvements in sanitary seat covers.
The main object of the invention is to provide a sanitary cover preferably of paper, which when folded will form a substantially square package that may be vended and bandled in a convenient manner.
Various other objects and advantages of myinvention will become apparent during the continuance of the following description.
In the drawings Fig. 1 is a view in top plan showing the 2 cover in blank form.
Fig. 2 is a view in plan showing the cover folded once along its longitudinal axis which is the first step in folding the-same into packet form.
Fig. 3 is a view of the cover showing the same folded on line B-B of Fig. 2 which is the second step.
Fig. 4 is a view of the cover folded on line C(, 'of 3 which is the third step.
- Fig. 5 is a view showing the cover folded. on line l)D of Fig. 4- which is the fourth Step.
Fig. 6 shows the cover in a completely folded position.
in reducing my invention to practice I provide a cover consisting of a body portion 10 having front and rear retaining flaps 11 and 12 substantially of the form shown in Fig. 1. However, the dimensions and shape of the bodyportion and the front and rear flaps may be varied without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
The rear flap 12. shown in Fig. 1 is provided at a point slightly off center, with ea 43 second flap 13 whose one face may be prothe line CC of Fig. 3 into the form shown in Fig. 4 and, finally on the line D-D of 13 may be used to retain the same in com-. pact form as clearly shown in Fig. 6. a
I After the cover has been folded into the form shown in Fig. 6 the packets may be vended or otherwise handled conveniently and the person procuring the packet can quickly and easily tear the flap 13 and unfold the cover into an operative position.
From the above it is believed that the advantages and novel features of invention "will be readily understood and therefore 'further detailed description is deemed unnecessary.
What is claimed is A sanitary seat cover comprising a body portion adapted to fit a conventional toilet seat. a flap formed at the front end of said body portion adapted to be folded beneath the toilet seat. a flap formed at the rear end of said body portion. a securing flap formed on said last named flap. and adhesive material provided on said securing flap whereby when, folded into packet form said securing flap may be utilized to retain it in said position.
