. IMPROVEMENT IN BLACKINGS FOR SHOES, &c.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 144,801, dated Novrmber 18, 1873; application filed October 30, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, JAMES L. SNEED, of Frankfort, in the county of Franklin and in the State of Kentucky, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shoe-Blackin g and do hereby declare that the following give the leather a fine polish and not injure it, as there is no acid in the blacking.
I do not confine myself to the above proportions of the ingredients, as they may, perhaps, be varied somewhat.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The within-described compound for shoeblacking, consisting of the ingredients substantially as set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 22d day of September, 1873.
