lli ir ention relates to an improvement in stoves and is more particularly associated i tlie bake oven of a domestic stove. alie object of my invention is to malle possible, both quickly and easily, the enlargement or restriction oi tlie size oi a balie oven accordino to requirement and to accomplish such object in a simple and economical manner.

lt is a common expedient of domestic stove manufacture to partit-ion a balre oven between a pair or' independently controlled burners so that eitlier d'vision of tlie oven may be employed with a corresponding saving of fuel; or both divisions may be simultaneously employed so as to keep separated say, roasting meat and baking cakes. t is, however, not intrequently necessary to have available an abnormally large baking compartment for instance, when on festive occasions it is desired to roast a large fowl.

My invention features a double aoco-inmodation respect to oven size and facility or' access thereto, and at the same time halves in respect to fuel economy when less than the entire maximum available oven space is adequate.

l claim:-

A. stove comprising the combination with a. pair ot laterally adjacent heating` means of an oven carrying a partitioning structure comprising two parts movable relatively to each other and adapted in one alternative inutile position to be in substantially the same planeand in operative position to be juxtaposed to divide said oven between said laterally'adjacent heating means. A stove comprising an oven anupright member adapted to form a partition thereacross, said member being so attached to one horizontal wall ot said oven as to enable its assuming an angular relation thereto to tulril its function as an upright partition or to be moved into a position in a plane plane of the bottom of said oven, laterally disposed doors adapted to afford access to the divisions ot said oven on opposite lateral sides of said member respectively` when the latter is in its partitioning position, and another door carrying'both ot said Alirst mentioned doors and adapted to aiiford access to the entire oven when said member is caused to occupy its alternative position.

6. A stove comprising an oven, and a pair of partition forming members hinged across said oven, each said members being adapted to rest upon "he bottom or" said oven and adapted in conjunction with each other to enclose an air space when in operative position.

7. A stove comprising an oven, a displaceable member in said oven, and a pair of partion forming parts hinged to said member along closely adjacent 'substantially parallel lines and adapted to be Ynoved apart or brought against each other.

8. A stove comprising an oven compartment, a member movably associated therewith and adapted to constitute an upright partition thereacross, a large door of substantially the same dimension as that of the entire front ot said oven and adapted when closed to extend across the near edge ot said member when in its partitioning position and other laterally adjacent smaller doors carried by said large door and opening only to the division spaces of said oven respec- ,tivelyv the arrangement being such that when said member is not in its partitioning position said large door allows insertion of a utensil requiring the full size oven.` y

9. A stove comprising an oven, an upright structure including two partsmovably attached to said oven and adapted to assume a partitioning position thereacross from front to rear, a clip for holding said parts in one of their alternative positions, distinct heating means below said oven on different sides of said structure when in its partitioning position, and a pair of doors on opposite sides of said structure when in its partitioning position.

10. A stove comprising an oven, ledges on the side walls thereof, an upright structure movably attached to said oven and adapted to assume a partitioning position thereacross, said structure including two sections having ledges projecting in opposite directions therefrom, means for holding said sections together, a pair of doors on opposite sides laterally of said struct-ure when in its partitioning position; and a grill adaptsubstantially parallel and close to the -ing portions only of said oven over said distinct devices respectively.

12. A stove comprising pair oi' distinct heating devices arranged side by side, an oven extending over both of said heating devices? a door opening substantially the entire front of saidl oven, and other doors carried side by side by the lirst mentioned door and opening portions only ot said oven over said distinct heating devices respectively.

13. A stove comprising a pair of distinct heating devices arranged side by side, an oven extending over both of said heating devices, a door opening substantially the entire front of said oven, and adapted to move in oneI direction, and other doors carried side by side by the first mentioned door and opening portions only ot said oven over said distinct heating devices respectively, and

adapted each to move in relatively transverse directions. y

A stove comprising a pair of distinct heating devices arranged side by side, an oven extending over both of said heatingdevices, a door hinged to said stove and opening substantially the entire front of said oven, and adapted to swing in one direction, and other doors hinwed in a side by side arrangement to the first mentioned door and opening portions only of said oven over said distinct heating devices respectively and adapted each to swing in relatively transverse directions. i

15. A stove oven provided with a removable support adapted for insertion therein, and a partition hinged to said support.

16. A stove oven provided interiorly with a removable support, and a pair of partition forming parts mechanically connected to said support and adapted to assume alternative positions in said oven. while so connected.

17. A stove comprising an oven, a displaceable structure adapt-ed to partition said oven, a door opening substantially the entire front of said oven, and other laterally adjacentrdoors carried by said first mentioned door and opening partitioned end portions of said oven respectively.

18. A stove comprising a pair of distinct laterally adjacent fuel devices, an oven eX- tending over both of said devices, a displaceable structure adapted to partition said oven, a door opening substantially the entire front of said oven, and other laterallyl adjacent doors carried by said first mentioned door and opening partitioned portions only of id even over said distinct devices respecely.
