A the The object of my invention is to provide a bed pad for an automobile arranged to make use of the seat cushions and backs as a bed, and at the same time provide a cover for the bedding when rolled up for touring purposes, and also provide concealment, warmth and protection at'the sldes of the car, as well as for convenient receptacles for clothing and equipment. I

I attain these resultsin the manner illus- V trated in the accompanying drawing and set forth in the specification following.

The straps F maybe arranged to make the fastening adjustable to increase or de crease the tension'on the canvas bottom A without departing invention.

Across the canvas bottom A is placed the point almost directly'underneath the wind shield. It will be necessary to divide the forward curtain A to admit the steering wheel.

What I claim as new and desire to protect by Letters Patent of the United States, is:

An automobile bed pad consisting of a body portion adapted to cover the seats of the car,'sai db ody having a mattress covering secured to same in a manner which will permit the tucking in of the .covers on the sides and foot portions of the bed, side flaps extending from each of the four sides of the body member in a manner that they may entirely inclose the sides of the car and be secured thereto and to each other, a ventilating means consisting of hangers snspended from the bows of the top, said hangers being arranged to fasten to the upper edge of a side flap and hold the upper portion ofit away from the side of the car in a manner to admit air, and a door means consisting of an opening formed in a side flap directly in front of a door latch, said opening having suitable means for fastening in place.
