IMPROVEMENT. IN BABY-JUMPERS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 131,349, dated September 17, 1872.

To all whom t may concern:

Beit known that I, DANIEL M. HoLMEs, of Westchester, in the county of Westchester and State of New York, have invented certain Improvements in Baby-Jumpers; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and eX- act description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters ot' reference marked thereon making a part of this specication.

Figure l is a side elevation of a baby-jumper embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is a plan ot' the same.

My invention has for its object to furnish a simple, safe, and convenient jumper for the exercise and amusement of small children. It consists in the construction and combination of the several parts of the jumper, as hereinafter described.

A is a movable platform. B is a springone endof Which is attached or fastened to the platform A and the other to the seat or chair O--Which is crooked or shaped in such a manner as to balance the seat O over and at the proper distance from the platform A, and

and natural effort of the child combined with the elasticity of the spring, it will rise and fall in an easy and graceful motion, delighting and amusing the child, andat the same time aifording it healthful and invigorating exercise.

I claim as my invention- A baby-jumper, consisting of a platform, A, seat or chair O, and spring B forming the connection between the seat and the platform, as herein shown and described.
