Be it known that I, JOHANN a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Electrical Attachment-Plugs, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to an electrical attachment plug. Although it is of primary importance when used infconjunction with what is known as n extension connection, it may be used in whole-erin part in other ways. I have several object-s in view; among these is the provision of an article which is susceptible of' inexpensive mauro facture, quite compact yet in which when occasion is required adequate space is afforded -for bringing together within the plug, the

wires. The appliance comprises other features of novelty .and advantage, which with the foregoing will be stated at lengt-h in the v:followingv description, wherein I will outline in detail that-'form of embodiment of the invention which I have selected for illustration in the drawings accompanying and forming part of the present specification. Obviously I do not restrict myself to this particulardisclosure; I may depart therefrom in several respects within the scope of the invention defined by the claims following said description.

The upper body section 2 may as shown .have molded therein the terminals 6 and 7 of suitable conducting material, the inner ends of these terminals 6 and 7 being eX panded as at 8 which presents a convenient way of properly tixedly uniting the terminals 6 and with the body section 3. The latter has an opening 9 through it for the passage of the wires 10 and 11, the free ends of these wires being skinned or bared and being electrically connected with the two terminals 6 and 7. I have shown tapped through these terminals the coaxial Screws l2, the heads of which face outward and are on the outer sides of the terminals. Around the Shanks of the screws on the outer sides of the two terminals, the bared ends of the4 two wires 10 and 11 will be wrapped or coiled one or more times and the screws being fed inward, the wires will be forced .jecting arm or post can be. stamped from sheet metal and plays a part in the conduct of the current. Surrounding the shell 5 which after the customary fashion may be externally threaded to lit the Edison incandescent lamp socket, is the band or ring 25 of insulating material such as composition. When they are thus separated the Twires and l1 -will be mechanicall;-Y and electrically connected With the terminalsb and 'i' as already set forth after which the body sections 2 and 3 will be mechanically connected.

An electrical attachment plug comprising an insulating body in sectionsdistinct and spaced from each other, a contact shell around both sections'of-the body, 'terminals extending from one of the sections of the. lil-orly, said section to which said terminals mnected, having means for the passage et' il es, arms separably connected with sald termnmls inside the shell, one of said arms electrically connected with said coniel, said terminals and arms constitac sole means for mechanically connectingz said insulating sections, a central end contact on the other section of the body electrically connected with the other arm, and means for electrically connecting the wires with said terminals.

An electrical attachment plug comprising an insulating body in sections distinct and spaced from cach other, a contact shell around both sections of the body, terminals extending from one 4of the sections of the body, said section to which said terminals are connected, having;- means for the passage of Wires, arms separably connected with said terminals, inside the shell, one of the arms being electrically connected with said contact shell, and a screw extending through the other of the arms and the other insulating section, and a central end contact litted against said other insulating section and having circumferential means embedded therein and towhich said screw is connected.

An electrical attachment plug comprising` an insulating body having a first section and .a second section distinct and spaced from each other, a contact shell around both sections of the body, terminals extending from the first section of the body, said first section having means for the passage of wires, a ring molded in the second section of the body and provided with an arm separably connected with one of said terminals, said ring being also electrically connected with said shell, a second arm separably connected with the other terminal, a central end contact on the second section of the body electrically connected With said second arm, and means Yfor electrically connecting;- Wires with said terminals.

An electrical attachment plug' comprising an insulating lbody having a first section and a second section, a contact shell around both sections-ol the body, terminals molded into the first section of the body and inclosed by the shell, an arm having a molded connection with the second section of the body and electrical-ly connected with said shell, said arm being` detachably connected with one of said terminals, a second arm detachably connected with the other terminal, said arms also being inclosed by the shell, a central end contact on the second section of the body electrically connected with said second arm,-and' means for connecting Wires 'with said terminals.

An electrical attachment plug comprising an insulating body having a first section and a second section distinct and spaced from each other, the first section having an opening for the passage of Wires, terminals molded'in said first section, a contact shell swiveled around both sections of the body, a ringmolde'd in the second section of the body and provided with an arm having an open slot, a screw extending through the open slotA andl tapped into one of said ter- :nei-3,3255
