i soacsa ten of the United Stetes,residing at Arnistad, 1n the county oi Union and State or New Mexico, have invented certain new and useful improvements in Gas and Eiparlt Levers for the Control of Motor-Vehicle Engines, of Which the following is a specifi- "cation, reference being hadtherein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to gas and spark levers for the control of motor vehicle engines, and has for its primary object the provision of an attachment adapted to be readily aliixed to one of a pair of oppositely projecting levers to constitute an operatmg extension of'the saine disposed in close relation to the other of said levers whereby both levers are easily accessible to and may be operated by one hand.
ln sonic types of automobiles, a common illustration of which is the Well known Ford car, the spark and throttle levers project in opposite directions from the steering post so that one of said levers is adjusted by the right hand off the operator, so to speak, While the other lever is adjusted by the left hand.

While I have herein illustrated one special embodiment of the invention, it will be apparent .to persons skilled in the art to which the invention relates, that the same is capable of embodiment in other forms and devices, as may be embraced within the terms of the hereto appended claims.
I claim 1-- i I 1. The combination with controlling means substantially as described including oppositely disposed adjustable control levers, of an attachment secured to one of said levers and extending to a position adjacent to the other of said levers.

Ihe combination with controlling means substantially as described including oppositely disposed adjustable control levers, of an attachment secured to one of said levers and extending to a position adjacent to the other of said levers, the securing means for said attachment being detachable to enable' reversing the position of the attachment so that the same may be secured to the other of said levers to extend'to a position adjacent to the lever to which it was first attached.
3. An attachment of the character described comprising a lever extension and means at the inner end thereof for securing the same to a lever, such as a spark lever to enable operation of said lever from a point I opposite to the direction in which the lever normally projects.
4. An attachment of the character described comprising a lever extension and means at the inner end thereof for securing the same to a lever, such as a spark lever, to enable operation of said lever from a Joint opposite to the direction in which the ever normally projects, the attaching end of said lever extension being offset for the purpose set forth.
5. An attachment of the character described comprising a lever extension and means at the inner end thereof for securing the same'to a lever, such as a spark lever, to enable operation of said lever from a point opposite to the direction in which the lever normally projects, the securing means for said lever extension being detachable.
6. An attachment of the character described comprising a lei'er extension and means at the inner end thereof for securing the same to a lever, such as a spark lever, to enable operation of said lever from a point opposite to the direction in which the lever normally projects, the attaching end of said lever extension being offset, and the securing means for s-id lever extension being detachable.
7. The combination with a controlling means, including oppositely disposed control levers, of a control means supplemental to one of said levers and extending to a position adjacent to the other of said levers.
