Air-ins, a citizen of the United States, residing at lY-ayside. in the county of .'\rmstro ng and State of Texas, have invented new and useful Improvements in Reproducing Devices for (lraphophones, of which the Itollowir is a specification.
This invention relates to reproducing levices for graphophones, and one object is to provide certain novel means for moun ng the diaphragm in order that the vibrations shall be. transmitted from each side thereof to a plurality of ducts having connection with a main duct or tone arm through which the sound passes to the horn or the like.
A further object is to provide a casing comprising a plurality of semisphcrical members with means for mounting a diaphragm across the chamber formed by said. members, and means for connecting the opposi'te sides of: the semispherical members with a common air duct, or tone arm.
A still further object is to provide certain novel means for mounting the needle and comprising a conical member carried Within. a. tapered seat and separated from said seat by a sleeve of fiber, this conical member hav ing connection with'the arm connected with the diaphragm of the reproducing device.
\Vith the foregoing and other objects in view the invention consists in the novel construction, combination, and arrangement of elements hereinafter described and claimed.

What is claimed is:
In a device of the class described, a casing, a diaphragm mounted within the casing, an arm connected with the diaphragm, a needle holding device comprising a cone member, a casing therefor including a stationarycasing element and a detachable threaded element having'a bore of varying cross section, receiving the cone member, a fibrous sleeve be tween the casing and cone men'iber, a spring for retaining the cone member and sleeve in positive contact, an extension carried by the cone member, and a needle mounted in said extension.
