The governor is of the usual centrifugal ball type and consists of a plurality of weights 22, which are connected to links 23 which are pivoted at one end to a collar 24: andxat the other end to the hub. 25, of a'disk 26-which obviously is carried upward upon the shaft 19 when the speed of said shaft is increased, causing the weights 22 to swing outwardly.
T A brake of the usual construction is provided and comprises a; bell crank lever 27 which is mounted upon a pin or pivot 28and is provided with a contact 29 made of'felt or any other suitable material. Although I have described a specific form of construction, it is understood this is merelyfor the purpose of illustrating the preferred embodiment, as various changes in details may be employed in practice, and I do not desire to be limited to the specific details, except as such limitations shall appear in the hereinaftercontained claims.
